I have been a TD customer since 1974. Just coming through an awful experience at the Nanaimo Nicol street branch, still far from over. My wife has been trying to convert a Locked-in RRSP into a RIF. The gentleman that has been helping was completely unfamiliar with the process. He has been trying to be helpful, but again unfamiliar with it, he has received a lot of mixed messages, very confusing for a customer. He should never even have started it. Somebody else from TD Direct Investing has called me and is dealing with the transaction. So, while I retain my trust in TD Bank, I would be very uneasy to deal with a FI at this branch. If you want to see a teller, the branch is fine, or an ATM, but, if you need some help, look for it somewhere else, or beware.
