Highly unprofessional, I had a meeting with Giulia at 2pm.after waiting for 45 min they sent another representative to apologize and said she double booked. What a stupid excuse and kept me waiting for 45 min. If they were double booked they should have told in the beginning. Then they asked for phone appointment. They did call us at 3:45 pm. And apologized, which I appreciate. Then on the day of phone appointment , Giulia did not call . I tried calling and no body answered the call. This location and its employees are unprofessional.

I had the best banking experience with the manager of this branch Ewa today. She was very professional and knowledgeable with high customer service experience. In a few minutes, she resolved my issue, she was the right person in the right place. Thank you!

Incompetent & Inefficient Branch Employees- Avoid for peace of MindI am posting this review as even complaints to the branch manager and even the CEO’s office has not made any difference on the sheer level of incompetence of this branch’s employees. I could understand if this was a one-off incident but my multiple experiences dealing with the front desk staff (tellers) at this branch has been dismal. Errors are the norm, and it is highly recommended that everyone triple checks that the requested transactions are correctly executed as the onus is entirely on the customer. These are just two of the several incidents that I have encountered while dealing with the tellers in this branch. The first involved a teller who forgot to “close” my account access and “withdrew” money from my account after I had left the terminal. Fortunately, he recognized his error and reversed the withdrawal shortly after. I was right fully alarmed at the possible repercussions of the failure to close the account access once the client leaves the terminal, but Scotia attributed this to one-off error of a new hire!!!The second incident happened on Saturday April 09, 2022. I visited the branch and handed over cash to the teller and specifically informed her that I needed to make a statement (monthly) payment to my secured line of credit account. I had to trust that the teller deposited it to the right account as I was told that as per Scotia Bank procedures, I would not see the deposit into my Line of Credit until Tuesday April 12, 2022. As I did not see the credit into my account even after 2 business days, I called the contact center and was informed that the teller erroneously deposited the cash into the non secured line of credit account instead of the secured line of credit! It is pertinent to note that I have no transactions in this account and the cash deposit into this Line of Credit account resulted in a negative current balance.

Customer Service!!This morning I called the Glen Abbey branch of Scotia Bank to find out how to close a TFSA. As is now expected I was greeted by a female machine (time 10:05) who asked me a series of questions; what did I want to do (select from several options – none of which fit my requirement) and after a conversation that consisted of the machine firing questions with multiple choice answers, and of me saying 'none of them' it finally gave up (and probably decided I was some kind of idiot who didn't understand technology) it then asked me to key in my scotiabank number;. Not once was I asked my name, confirming what I have long suspected - to the bank I'm only a number with $signs$. I was then connected to a customer service representative – well not actually, it put me in a queue to wait. And I did. And I did. A second machine (or maybe it was the same one with a different accent – it was definitely female) kept reassuring me every 60 seconds 'we apologize for the delay and thank you for patience. A customer service representative will be with you shortly.'Shortly was slightly longer than that. A human voice (male) finally came on the line 12 minutes later. And to add insult to injury he did not have any of the information I had provided to the first machine. I did describe what had happened and all he could say was he was sorry. I even asked him how he defined 'customer service' to which he replied 'How can I help you sir?' When I tried to get him to expand his answer he kept repeating, ''How can I help you sir?', which led me to think that maybe he was another machine masquerading as a person. I think he said his name was HAL.Finally I gave up and asked him how I could close a TFSA. He told me that I had to go into the branch. All that wasted time. All that frustration. But that's the price we pay - and one of the reasons that bank profits are so high - for allowing machines to replace people. In the process we have abandoned what we used to call customer service. Confined with other out dated ideas to the scrap heap of history.

Wonderful customer service at this branch. I had an urgent concern that I came into the bank for, and was right away acknowledged and helped out. I truly appreciate the extra time and empathy Haley had towards my concerns, it turned my day around. Thank you.

Been banking with them for many years and I always get out of this Branch frustrated...whatever you need, there is always a reason why it cannot be done. Try to make a deposit for a an RESP without being 1 hour with a consultant in a back office... Some individuals at the front desk are nice, but in general this Branch is bad and the bank itself is sub par. They rotate their staff so often that no one knows you. I have switched almost everything to TD next door and RBC on 3rd line and I get much better service there.

I recently opened up an account with this branch. In both my visits, the managers asked in line if i had the help i needed. The manager today went above and beyond to ensure all my banking needs were done correctly and were some of the nicest people I've ever met. Thank you for your wonderful customer service I have never experienced such a kind professional group of people.

I understand they are busy with mortgages etc. But my experience with them remembering tasks I requested is quite poor. Forgot a few big things I asked for as well as forgetting to cancel my credit card that I requested be disposed of once my mortgage was complete. Not too happy with the service but they got the job done I guess. Still providing slow service to this day for me..

This Bank is a complete disaster. I called the bank multiple times As is now expected I was greeted by a female machine (time who asked me a series of questions; what did I want to do (select from several options – I picked the banking option thinking I would get someone from the bank WRONG, I was transferred to the call center. I did this multiple times thinking I made a mistake but I didn't. It's ridiculous that you can't speak to a live person.I ended up calling the manager multiple times leaving a message that I needed to speak to her as it was very important, obviously not important to her.I have called multiple times before hand and you can never get the manager to answer her phone , it always goes to VM and never calls back. I have also previously sent her emails and she either doesn't respond or takes week to reply.I had GIC that I told them not to renew, and guess what they did? You guest it, they renewed it.This bank is so frustrating that when I can, I will be taking all my money out of this bank.
