Orcas Island Rental Car

We were at Rosario and our starter went out on our boat and we had to wait overnight until we could find a replacement. I called OIRC and they had us in a Pt cruiser immediately! We got a starter and explored the beautiful island! We loved the extra touches and snacks as well!!!!!

If I could leave zero stars I would. We attempted to rent a car with this company. The cars are located at the airport over 2 miles walking from the ferry. There is no shuttle, no taxis, uber or any notice on how to get from point A to point B. Tried calling, no answer, after leaving several messages and texting ( never had to text a rental car service). Had to find another conveyance to the other side of the island (;in order to make a time sensitive meeting) Cancelled my rental I made only several hours prior while enroute. This all occurred in August, I have asked for a refund or a partial refund and was told no only yesterday in October because as they are a small business. This of course was after several email and a phone call requesting information. There is no disclaimer that there is no transportation to the Airport to rent a car. Horrible customer service.

Superlative concierge level experience! This is my new go-to orcas rental!Owner was polite prompt and responsive throughout the process by email and phone, and even accommodated a change in pickup location after the rental was finalized.I arrived by seaplane and steps way from the dock found a vehicle with my name on a stickie in the window. Inside was my contract and local brochure neatly on a clipboard and even bottled water and granola bars (so I could take a favorite hike on my way in to town without provisioning first), and a ” tour of orcas island CD” preloaded in the player. So thoughtful!Vehicle was clean and well maintained inside and out. Not new, but functional, hybrid, with some miles on it, just like an island car should be.Disregard the 1 star, obviously it was confused with an almost identically named service that is seasonal.

A fantastic experience! Owners are friendly and helpful, the car (PT Cruiser) was clean and a nice ride - we had room for four and way too much luggage. We were able to drive all over the island without a hitch, and it helped make the trip here a huge success.

Orcas Island Rental Car (OIRC) is always courteous, timely, and will do everything possible to ensure a good customer experience. We rented a car for a day (which was already on site and ready to roll) and were pleasantly surprised to find bottled water and snacks waiting for us - a perfect touch as we ventured out to hike on Mt. Constitution! A great team, highly recommend!

What a wonderful family owned company! We got a very reasonably priced rental car for the day. They delivered it with in a few hours to our campsite and picked it up there the next day. They included a wonderful informational cd about the island which we enjoyed and waters and granola bars. The car was clean and in good condition. We rented a carseat and it was also clean and in good shape. We were very happy with their customer service and the quality of the vehicle we borrowed. I highly recommend them!

Megan and Doug were wonderful to work with. We were traveling from PA to Orcas and I called about a month in advance to get everything set up. Megan answered all the questions I had along with suggestions for things to do and places to see. When we got to the island our car was there next to the ferry landing with a note on it wishing us good luck on the race we were there to do! We had a turn signal go out the 2nd day we were there and within 20 minutes of sending Megan a message to let her know, Doug met us and had it replaced in minutes. A wonderful family owned company ❤️.

Doug and Megan could not have been easier to work with or nicer folks. We set up our rental prior to flying into Orcas and they put the car right at the dock area for us to pick up. Well maintained PT Cruiser clean and comfortable. A used car to be sure, but perfect to travel the island.We had two unfortunate issues that we needed help with during or stay on the island and Doug couldn't have been more easygoing about it-we needed assistance with keys locked in the car and had to extend our rental a bit due to having to retrieve a lost credit card. Thanks so much Doug. The price will be higher than mainland rentals to be sure but if you fly into the island or walk onto a ferry for your arrival, this company is well worth contacting for your needs.
