The food used to be delicious but not anymore. The jerk chicken was not jerk chicken. It was roasted chicken with some spice. The rice and peas tasted like white rice and even though I added gravy it was VERY dry. Don't waste your money. You'll be disappointed like I was.

Not the same restaurant. The food taste is ok but very cheap. I ordered a chicken soup and got Irish potatoes soup. What happened? The food prices have gone up and food is lacking. This won’t be my go to next time.

Jerk chicken with oxtail gravy and peas rice was tasty. I’ll still hold Baker’s Jerk as no 1 and will put Gems as no 2. I ordered large and the chicken servings were generous. It’s a small store but have 8-10 dining tables as well. They were playing Jamaican song which was refreshing to listen. Price was around $11 for large and it’s worth !

Food is always good. Jerk is amazing, has me hooked. The service is quick, the food is hot. I had two small jerk chicken; I paid $24 for them both. Better to get the small meals on the specials days (Monday - Thursday) as they're cheaper.There is space inside to sit and eat, if you'd like, TV for entertainment. Nice spot.

Service is so bad. They serve you with screw up face no manners. Who the he'll buys food from people like that! That's why I guess when I walked in nobody was there! Worst jamaican restaurant in brampton

What can I say...it was bad. The chicken soup was worst than pot water. It was burnt with more water and salt added. If you cant provide equality food do not sell it. Please do better.

This used to be my favorite Jamaican spot in Brampton before 2019. Ever since then, it has been one of the worst spots to eat any food in Brampton. The food never taste fresh. Festival is hard as stone. Jerk chicken is questionably cooked/reheated and not flavourful anymore and tough. The rice is always hard, dare I say crunchy. I read lots about the front desk having a bad attitude but I could care less about that, you can be as rude as you want as long as you give me good food, which they don't anymore. I wonder if the owner(s) or cook has changed? I write this in hopes that the restaurant goes back to its previous standards, otherwise do us all a favor and close your doors and shut down.

Jerk chicken with goat curry - Rice and peas tastes average, but goat curry was good.Nice and a decent place to dine-in.Customer service was not satisfactory. Request for an extra spoon or a fork shouldn't be acknowledged with Rolling eyes with a question for needing a spoon.

Enjoyed their curry goat on rice and peas and also their jerk chicken. Total was $19.21 (after tax) for a large curry goat and half a pound of jerk chicken. The portions were large and filling. Friendly staff too. Had a good experience here. Will return.

I ordered a large curry goat meal on friday the day of that storm,when I got home to open and enjoy the food it was curry tripe and beans disgusting looking!!!!!! I called them that same day and let them know I got the wrong meal and I was not eating that, I will come Monday to get something else. So I came in let the lady in the front sitting down folding napkins non welcomingVibes and the other lady serving, I let them know I had called in and spoke with someone and told them my order was wrong I did not want the food but they can give me patties instead,, before the girl says we apologize for the mix up she asking what did I do with the food who did I speak with. I'm guessing she expected me to freeze the food and bring it.she offered a small goat plate I let her know it was a large showed them a picture. Long story short support black business that show Professionalism , Honor ,Respect.I will not support Gems jerk again.
