My wife just had a colonoscopy here. Her comments:1. She advised the doctor/nurses she requires more anesthesia because of occasional recreational drug use, she's had multiple surgeries and has had issues before when the right dosage isn't given - disregarded - told it doesn't matter and was awake and in pain for the first portion of the procedure, remembers twisting/turning in pain and being held down (until more anesthesia was administered and/or they waited the proper time to begin the procedure?!!).2. She advised she has an issue with collapsing veins, it's painful, please use the upper vein (centre of arm) instead for anesthesia - disregarded - after 2 attempts the nurse/tech said 'oh you're right' and then inserted into upper vein (centre of arm).3. She advised she mistakenly had a mint about an hour before the procedure (not supposed to eat anything the day of), just wanted to advise in case of any issue - the nurse said it might go in your lungs, then the doctor dismissively said nothing to worry about, right before anesthesia was administered. My wife was both confused and concerned moments before the procedure.I understand there's a lot of patients to get through and it's a cattle herd but for the love of god take this necessary time to LISTEN to your patients and follow correct protocol with anaesthesia. Myself and everyone I know remembers NOTHING from their colonoscopy procedure and now my wife has a traumatic experience remembering pain and being held down.Anyone else reading this beware. We will be contacting whomever this office has to answer to, because clearly it's not patients.

I’d like to report on the colonoscopy that I received yesterday at The Toronto GI Clinic. First, I’d like to thank the wonderful Dr Khatchatourian, who performed the procedure, clearly explained to me what to expect and then, her findings once it was over. Thank you too to Dr Deb, who kept me comfortable and painless throughout. All was done before I knew it! I am thankful too to nurses Arlene, Annie and Lenora, for their superb care. Finally, a big shoutout to Elizabeth and Ayan from the front desk who welcomed and guided me.

All the nurses who assist me was spectacular. Arlene,Leonora,Irene was amazing... Thank you all so much for taking care of me while im there. If anyone looking for GI , this place is the best.

Incredibly professional, efficient and extremely knowledgeable doctor and support staff. Cannot emphasize enough how patient and kind the nurses were before and after the procedure. Thx for bringing light to a difficult journey.

I was supposed to spend max 1.5 hour there for the procedure. But the anesthesiologist was 1 hour late made me spend more than 3 hours! In the office. Besides, I requested sedation without being asleep during the procedure. The Anesthesiologist maybe did nt care about the questionnaire and made me asleep with a very very painful injection, which I ve never experienced in my life. He probably was supposed to inject it slowly preventing from a lot of pain while he injected 5 ml in less than 5 seconds. I was shouting of hand pain before going to sleep. A really bad experience!Although dr Khachatourian and nurses were so pleasant and nice trying their best to make the procedure smooth, unfortunately the anesthesiology part of the procedure ruined all their efforts.

Honestly, a super fantastic experience (as much as possible having someone perform a colonoscopy on you). The staff were wonderful, talkative and kind. Jordan, Philippines (“saviour”) and China (these were the names I gave them while lying on the gurney) were all super kind and nice. Doctors were very good too!!

My family and I have been to this clinic, and the experiences have been all consistent with Dr Khachatourian. She carefully reads all the history, asks relevant questions, and performs the procedure smoothly. Her team is very kind and friendly.Sometimes there are admission delays due to previous patients requiring more time than expected. But that goes with the global medical system and everyone must expect it.

I was terrified about my first-ever colonoscopy. To my surprise, it was quick and painless. It seemed to me as if I was sleeping for minutes, and I felt absolutely nothing during or after the procedure. I hardly believed that it was done, and a half hour passed. The team was beyond kind and Dr. Michael Schiff is a highly recommended professional. For me, the two days of preparation for the procedure were the worst, after that, it was nothing. I highly recommend this clinic.

The staff were great. The receptionist answered by concerns prior to my appointment. From the nurses who were nice (Leonora, Arlene, Irene) to the anesthesiologist and Dr. Shapira. The procedure was easy and quick. No complaints.
