I can’t say enough good things about this riding school. My daughter has progressed so well over the past year and a half, both riding and with her horsemanship, conquering her fears and boosting her confidence. Dawn’s nature and expertise when it comes to young and first time riders is amazing, and her ability to keep older kids engaged and moving forward is beyond me! Finding a coach with flexibility, accountability and certifications that go above and beyond has been the added bonus that everyone should be searching for for their son or daughter. This working barn, as any, needs daily TLC, and the ‘barn rats’ jump at the opportunity to spend any and all their time pitching in, watering, feeding, picking and grooming.

My daughter has been coming to Pemberley Riding School for about a year and a half now. Coach Dawn & her horses have been amazing to watch. She has learned so much! Safety is always a first priority-safety vest and helmets are always worn. All the horses are well cared for & loved. The MANY transformations that have taken place over the last year and a half on the property are amazing! Each time we come, there is always another improvement done. I would definitely recommend this riding school to anyone.

Pemberley Riding school is an excellent place for riding. My daughter has been attending lessons for three years and has learned so much. The horses are well cared for, the coach is excellent and friendly, Dawn O'Brien really understands children and horses and cares for both. The price is simply unbeatable and we are looking forward to seeing the results of all the renovations going on. If you are looking for a place to ride I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pemberley.

It's too bad someone with a bad experience felt the need to try to ruin the reputation of this hard working riding school. My daughter has been riding here for a year and it's been a wonderful experience! Dawn is all about safety first for all children at the barn (those in lessons and the barn rats). She is highly skilled at coaching and my daughter has gone from having no riding experience to being able to trot and control the horse with confidence. She was never rushed through the steps of learning, in fact, sometimes the pace can seem slow because this is the safest way to learn. Dawn absolutely adores her horses and works at the barn tirelessly looking after her horses - all of which are well fed (you can see this just by looking at them - the horses are the front of the property are not her horses!) and all are loved and very well cared for. I have watched the horses stalls being cleaned, their water refilled, huge amounts of hay provided every single day and night. They also have tons of land to roam free. I can't say enough great things about Pemberley Riding School!

My daughter started riding at Pemberley a few years ago as a beginner. Head Coach Dawn O’Brien has done a magnificent job of cultivating & growing Sam’s love of horses & horsemanship. I have so enjoyed watching my daughter’s lessons that at 47 years old, I started taking lessons as well!The cost to take lessons is so far below other riding schools in Maple Ridge. Dawn & her team keep it affordable so that everyone can partake. The ponies & horses at Pemberley are happy, healthy & extremely well cared for. So many of them came in as rescues & they have flourished under the love & care of the Pemberley team & their riders. I can’t recommend this barn enough! Wonderful!

What an amazing riding school. Both my kids have been riding there with Dawn 2015. You can't find a more knowledgeable and caring coach. Her horses are amazing school horses and so well taken care of. Multiple arena's to ride in too!

My Daughter has been riding with Dawn for over 2 years and it has been a fabulous experience. She has become a great little rider under Dawn’s direction and has gained so much confidence and horse care knowledge being part of the Barn Rats program. I would highly recommend this riding school!

My daughter has been taking lessons with Coach Dawn at Pemberley for 5 years now. She has learned so much and has gone from just letting the horse walk her to working with horses to be ridden by others. As a Barn Rat she has learned how to love, listen to care for the horses. She would live at the barn if she could. Coach Dawn ensures the kids are safe as well as the horses. We are so happy to have found Dawn and Pemberley Riding School.
