I just tried to call my local Scotiabank at Flowers Cove. Simple, right? Always was. But No Longer. Now you have to go through a national call centre; listen to bad music until someone finally answers; refuse to allow them to help because you really want to talk to someone at the local branch (that's what the local branch is for, right?); wait for them to transfer your call; get a recording; leave a message; and wait for someone to call you back. Who is the brilliant idiot who so brutalized the simple concept of calling your local Scotiabank branch! If I still had accounts at Scotiabank, I would close all of them today. Sheer lunacy!
