Northwood Montessori Plus, Thornhill - Centre Campus

Northwood Montessori is amazing place! After looking into and visiting too many schools, my husband and I walked into this school and we knew it was the school we wanted to send our kid. My son have attended Northwood for 4 years and I couldn’t ask for a better daycare. Very clean with with wonderful and very welcoming teachers. Ever since enrolling my kid I’ve seen many improvements. Classes aren’t big so kids get all the attention. I would recommend this place to everyone with little ones.

Happy happy place! My daughter started at Northwood about a year ago and this was her first experience away from home. The entire team at Northwood provided the space she needed for her transition. They were compassionate, caring and patient with her. 8 months in and all she talks about are her loving teachers and her lovely friends. She is excited to go in and have fun which is the most important thing for our family. Northwood is providing a growth mindset environment for her to explore and discover life for herself.

My son started at Northwood Centre campus when he was 18 months old. I was nervous as he was so young and had separation anxiety, but the teachers were so caring that it made the transition easier. My son was more active and I loved that they have such a large open space for the kids to play. Most preschools only have a small fenced in area facing the road or driveway. I loved that Northwood was a mix of Montessori and traditional play. The open space allowed for more free play… more digging, more running. I definitely believe the play aspect helped with his development and many studies support that. Ms Elizabeth made the environment more warm and inviting. I even loved the space they had for individual cubbies, which many places didn’t have. Eventually, we stayed at Northwood for 4 years, until he graduated and moved on to Grade 1. The transition to grade 1 was smooth, as the foundation he got at Northwood was solid. Best of all was the relationships he made at Northwood… the friends and teachers! We still see friends sometimes. My son still mentions Ms Wren and Ms Elizabeth every once in a while and wants to visit… and he’s in grade 3! I would recommend.

My son goes to this daycare for almost a year now. He enjoys the place very much. And the teachers there are very loving, friendly, and responsible. We definitely recommend this place.

Northwood (Centre) is a wonderful place for children. The entire staff from Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Wren, Ms. Shrima, Madame Louisa are so caring and helpful to the kids. I am sending my 3rd child to Northwood when my maternity leave is over. Rest assured when you send your child to Northwood, they will be cared for very well.

Highly recommend Northwood Montessori - Centre Campus! My 2 year old daughter loves going to school every morning, she talks about her teachers and friends and it's evident that she is learning new things every day. The teachers are warm, welcoming. very responsive and cooperative, even with potty training!

My daughter has been attending the centre campus since august and we only have positive things to say! First and foremost, the teachers are very attentive and compassionate- my daughter always talks about getting lots of cuddles and doing fun activities! I really appreciate their patience and dedication. I can drop her off in the morning feeling assured that she’s going to have a good day. The facility is also kept very clean, the director Elizabeth does amazing job at keeping the kids safe during the pandemic. Thank you Northwood!

My son loves going Northwood every day!He is thriving at this Montessori. He's counting, his vocabulary has expanded and we are surprised every day at what he's learning and the activities he does.We were hesitant to start him in a daycare setting during the pandemic, and it was hard not to be able to enter and get a tour of the inside, but when we met Elizabeth, the director, and saw the classroom from the outside, we knew it was the perfect place for our son.The teachers are loving, caring and compassionate.Communication is timely and thorough, and the staff are professional in every aspect.

Both of my children attended Northwood Montessori Centre Campus. The staff and teachers are very caring and kind and my children were happy, and treated like family from the first day. I was always confident at drop off that my children would have a great day and be well cared for and engaged. The connections that my children made at the school have led to long-time friendships. Students engage in many different academic, artistic, outdoor and play-based activities at Northwood which are interesting and engaging. My children have made many memories there.

We had the pleasure of sending our daughter to Northwood Montessori from 18 months - Grade. She loved it very much.The staff is very warm and kind and loving and the curriculum is fantastic. Our daughter was exposed to languages early on and her French teacher highly encouraged us to continue with French Emersion for Grade 1 which we did and it was the best decision ever. The food was great and the beautiful big green outdoor play ground is fantastic. We highly recommend this preschool. Miss Elizabeth was always fantastic and helped us every step of the way. Looking back we are so thankful for picking Northwood as the preschool.
