It would be better with a road! OMG Lock the hubs and put her in 4 low. Beautiful spot lots of fish. All smaller though

One of my favorite camping spots.Although the road can be quite bad even with the improvements. We managed to get our 18' 1969 Skylark travel trailer down and set up. Keep in mind there is no opportunity to turn around if you get stuck.Currently there is one site that is usable; as there are quite a few large fallen trees across most sites with barricades.

Penask Lake home of the Pennask Rainbow Trout. Tons of fish, artificial single barbless hook only.Extremely rough road but there isn't any elevation gain. At least 8 clearance or prepare for some under carriage damage."

off the beaten path. Hardcore campers only. Outhouse s. There and back to hwy 97C in no time. Eze ride on a RZR or Dirt Bike. Road, Last 5 KMS bad picture of this not included. If it's raining forget about using a vehicle. If your 4x4 is a beater, go for it. Definitely would never drag any sort of trailer including a utility in there. Truck and camper at best. Dirt bike and tent is perfect. Trees have been cut down, laying everywhere, Bring a chainsaw make urself a site, lots of firewood, nice beside lake.

Super nice area. Nice and secluded. Road is hairy do need a 4WD. But that's what makes it so quiet.

Pennask Lake Provincial Park
Quiet and remote. Access road is extremely rough.4x4 required. At the present, only one campsite is safe to use. Limited access to the lake due to private property all around.

You will wreck most vehicles going to this campsite. A 4X4 truck will have damage done to the undercarriage.

Pennask Lake Provincial Park
Beautiful lake, rough access. Do not attempt to get to this lake without a high clearance 4x4 vehicle or ATV. There is a new access if you haven't been in the last few years. At the deactivated portion of the trail hang a right and follow that trail for about 1.5km and it meets up again with the original trail in. Nice campsites, no services, wilderness camping.

The drive to the lake started out nice and easy and then slowly progressed to high clearance 4x4. We have to wonder if these roads are ever maintained or if this is their lot in life, to become so rough that they are no longer traversable except by quad or dirt bike? Anyways, we saw two moose and noticed that the signs stand had newly updated Covid-19 signs. The late was gorgeous and we were very interested to read about the private fishing lodge and the estate's history and landholding. So cool!
