The fact that rednecks from some crappy border town decide whether or not you get to visit/get a visa to be in Canada or the states is absolutely ridiculous. Visa services should be mechanized and hooked directly up to the CIC website; the CBSA could save money on staffing and people trying to live their lives don't have to deal with being interrogated by an uptight redneck with a power complex. I avoid this border crossing at all costs.

I passed through this border station for a short trip to Quebec. First time crossing a US land border and did not know what to expect. The first booth checked my passport and covid app completion and I think vaccination card. The officer asked a few questions about my trip and its duration.Next I was told to pull to an inspection lane. I was told to get out and 2 officers checked my car, it's compartments, and a check through my baggage. They also asked details of my trip and any past tickets.Next they took my passport and told me to wait inside their building. There were bathrooms and vending machine and other people that had various border crossing/processing issues. They handed my passport to other officers at a desk to look up my record. Once I heard them talk about a drunkard" I knew it was probably a DUI on my record which I heard prevents entry into Canada. They told me to approach the desk and they asked me about the ticket which is a kind of felony in Canada.Ticket was issued June 2019 while I was in the military and the judge had the case dismissed. I told them this and that I did the rehab and was still serving with no ill effects on my career or life.Interestingly

Good evening, it is possible to make an inquiry, I have received the letter to perform the biometric for the extension of the visitor's visa for my son, it is possible to carry out at this point of entry.

They're on a major power trip. Over-zealous, condescending, and lacking in manners. I could go on, but it's not worth wasting any more time on.

Rude, impolite personnel. We were stopped and rudely frisked only because we had passports of one particular country. When the officer in the border booth (I think he was from one of our neighboring countries) saw them, he immediately send us to the inspection zone. And we were only who were sent there for the next 2 hours that we spent there. We had a rude inspection (all our things were turned upside down) and a series of interrogations. When they realized that we (2 families with correct documents, visas, ordered excursions and hotels) are neither war criminals nor narco barons, they started long meeting on which as i think they tried to find any reason to fine us. And they made it up - we were fined for brining cash money to Canada. But not for amount (it was ok), we were punished for not declaring that money on US border !!!! (that was not needed by US Law!!!). It is crazy. But it was almost midnight and we decided to pay that crazy fictional fine and drive to hotel, because our kid was hungry and wanted to sleep.Canada is a great, beautiful country. We loved our travel there. All people we met were friendly and polite. But some of the border officers at this place (honestly not all of them but at least three of them) spoil the impressions about Canada because sees in everybody criminal.P.S. On our way back to US at Niagara we passed US broder in 2 minutes. The US officer was polite, fast and professional.

Writing this review to help people for any Immigration purposes. All the borders are open 24X7 for travellers but in order to process your study or work permits they have certain timings for it.Applications for a new work or study permit may be made at St-Bernard-de-Lacolle and St-Armand/Philipsburg as follows:Monday to Thursday, from noon to 7:00 p.m.• Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.These are the official hours at this border for immigration purposes mentioned above. But they only take certain numbers of application a day, number depends on them whatever they feel like they will process some application a day. You will be sent back without processing your application if they have reached their maximum numbers for the day, So it is advisable to flag pole within an hour of opening. They open as per above mentioned timings.Hopefully this review will help. The overall experience was good but they don’t operate at full capacity. It is usually (sometime you get lucky to get out early) a long wait so make sure you reserve a day for your trip.

One of the busiest crossing between Canada and US. Travelled on greyhound bus en route to New York on Friday, and I waited 1 hour before we can get off the bus to see an officer! The officer is quite efficient though, 5 mins later I'm back on bus...
