I walk into a local scotiabank and ask for 2 things. A stop payment on something that is coming out of my account and to change my last name. Tell me why the clerk says that I have to do the stop payment online and in order to change my last name I have to go into the bank that I initially opened my account with? What happens if I move out of province before I change my last name, do I have to travel all the way back to my initial home province in order to have my last name changed? This is a ridiculous practice for customer service as you should be able to do either of these things at any scotiabank that is open that day.

I would give 1 out of 10 for customer service. I had applied line of credit and got a card but when I tried to use it for the first its declined and when asked they told me that your card has been closed. Thed just did it without my consent or any permission. The manager, merry she was very rude even she didn't prefer us to answer properly of any thing.Please guys do not go there I had already some of the bad opinions of that locations and I also experienced

I had a really bad experience at this branch. The person at the public dealing counter was very rude. It felt to me that I was being punished in some sense that I visited this branch. He was so blunt that made me very uncomfortable. Such was his rudeness that it occurred me to change my bank just to avoid such horrible experiences later in my life. The staff must maintain their dignity and that of the customer too.

I would definitely give 0 if I could. Too much disappointment by having account with Scotiabank. Personally, faced 2 frauds in one year continuously. Poor security system for banking. Mobile banking is not reliable at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would... they told me to pick up a large order that took them 72 hrs to process at 4PM on Friday... I arrive at 3:50 and see a security guard point to a sign that says new temporary hours"

The bank teller and manager refused to accept a deposit without answering invasive question of where the money came from. Went to the bank machine and the deposit was accepted. The manager was so rude in front of many other customers.
