Hyatt Centric Montreal
This Hyatt hotel seems to be built quite newly. Check in was friendly and quickly done. They gave me a room on their upper hotel floor and this room had high ceilings, but was not very spacious, but still big enough. And it was clean. On top of the building they have a small pool and a terrace with good views over the port and the city. The hotel itself is located just a few steps away from the old part of Montreal. I would choose the Hyatt Centric again for future stays.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Centric while in a business trip to Montreal and in short, I had an amazing experience!The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in in a hotel in a very long time - and the pillows were amazing. I went for the feather ones and they beat the ones I have at home.It’s in a great location, only a short walk away from the old port and it has easy access to the freeway to the airport.The staff were friendly, efficient and always willing to help.I only ended up eating one meal in the restaurant, but it was very good and the staff were great. Let me just say that I will be coming back for the smash burger and one of the wonderful hand-crafted cocktails when I am next in town (while I’m staying at the hotel, of course).I’m scheduled to be back in Montreal for a few days next month and I will definitely be booking it at this hotel.

I stayed there for two days. The room had a minimalist style, it was spacious and clean, but I found the air conditioning instead on the noisy side.There were a couple of tea bags provided but no kettle.My big issue with the hotel is I’m still waiting for the security deposit to return to my bank account weeks after the stay. I contacted the front desk multiple times (they even hung up on me twice), I left a message with the front desk supervisor because I was told they could only place the money back, I sent emails to customer service, and I received no reply.

Great location and clean, new hotel. Gorgeous views from the rooftop.Only difficulty was finding the underground parking, instructions could be more clear. You have to turn into a driveway below the hotel and then drive up to the garage door marked “hotel parking” - photos attached.

Pros: Excellent rooms with all the right furnishings. Spacious. Great lighting. Floor to ceiling windows.Cons: You can hear everyone walking and speaking in the corridor. Hotel is tucked on away on a 1 way street and a bit hard to get to. Hotel is understaffed badly. They only have 1 person at the desk. Valentina did her best with a big smile on her face but she's the guest check-in person, the garage entrance door opener, the concierge, the person who answers reception calls, and everything in between. The fitness center is bright but oddly located and the same with the pool. Both are very hard to get to. Wifi works but isn't fast.

Newly open hotel with great Hyatt Globalist member recognition. I was upgraded to one of the few suites they have. Breakfast was delicious and there are lots of great choices. I enjoyed my stay here. Easily walkable to the old port, but restaurants are a bit further away. Gym also decent.

I arrived on 1am past midnight and reception was helpful. Actually during my two days stay I met four of them and they are all very trained, polite, and efficient. Hotel is great to me, room is new and clean, gym is good enough for maintenance myself, only complaint is the air circulation in the washroom isn’t smooth enough. Location is great, 1km to Notre-Dames, lots of restaurants around, attractions are in walking distance. Valet parking is fast and efficient. Sum it up this is a amazing hotel for me and my family.

We booked the room through Expedia, but not sure of that's the case.. our floor located at 4th, which is only one level up above the bridge (reception floor), so our city view is quite nothing, but blocked by the building across the bridge. This is what I didn't expect and quite disappointing.The pillows is relatively soft and even two provided for each person.. so side sleeper better requests a firm pillow ahead of time.The room itself is chic and clean, especially the bathroom is quite awesome.The other side of courtyard view is completed with grass by the time we visited, so I think courtyard view will do better if they put you at lower floor like me.Just some visitors were still hang out or talking along the hallway on and off from 10pm - 4am at my floor, I woke up by their voices a few times in the middle of night, so it wasn't a good staying experience for me.You may park your car at the bridge level along the hotel side for a moment while you are about to go check in.Their parking is hidden for now as the building is sharing with condominium, just pay attention to the direction and note that the garage door is always close until your car is close enough to the sensor to open for you.Location is awesome, no doubt.Funny that I saw other customers being asked about how did they feel for staying in hotel when they were checking out, but no one asked us about that at all.

Would book again, it was a beautiful hotel, however a few things that I didn’t love.For a brand new hotel, there were some finishes that were rushed. Example: electricity outlet plate not centred, so you can see a vertical gap on the one side, seeing a hole into the wall. Another thing was the shower tile had a gap in it too, exposing some wall that should not be exposed. Very tiny things to nit-pick, but bothered me as it is literally brand new!Location was great- very close to Old Port.Laundry was closed on the holiday long weekend which was a huge drag….should have self-serve machines available 24/7.

The valet here was terrible. They only had one person working and it often took 20 minutes + to get your car, and if you didn’t show up at the exact time he was pulling up, you still wouldn’t be able to leave because your car would be there but the valet (and the keys) would not be. Once they just didn’t bring the car and then after 30 minutes I searched down the valet, finally found him and when I asked he said “sorry, my partner didn’t tell me anything.” We missed dinner reservations because of the valet service here. They need to hire more people in order to cover dinner and check in and check out times. Also work on communication. I would self-park. The front desk staff was great and the rooms were new and clean. Pillows could be better.
