D & K Nail Spa

I never write reviews but I had to write this one. I would not recommend frequenting this spa. I had some facial waxing done and I ended up with a dermatological bacterial infection. My face was all red and puffy. Had to seek medical treatment and now I am taking 4 types of medication to combat my infection. I have no allergies or conditions, so this should not have occurred.

This was by far the best pedi mani I have had anywhere. Experience and thorough. Great value! They are under new management and it 10 X better

I love this place! My nails always look amazing when I get them done here. Quinn is extremely detailed and can do literally any design you want perfectly!

I’ve been coming here for the last year since they got a new owner! Staff is friendly and they always do an amazing job!

Just got my nails done with a friend and they turned out beautifully, the nail techs were very kind, prices were really cheap for the service we got (shellac and acrylic refill with designs). Went above and beyond with the cuticle oil and lotion as well. Will come back!

I don't typically write reviews, but this place really did not leave me impressed whatsoever. When I first arrived, I initially asked for the mani + pedi combo. Which I specifically clarified numerous times. This was my first time going to a nail salon in years and I stated that numerous times, but they didn't seem to really pay much care to that. When I got my hands done first, they asked if I wanted bio gel, which I was under the impression that this was a part of the deal. When I paid for it, the total came up to 90 dollars which suprised me, but I just thought that maybe they charged extra for bio gel since shortly after I did hear that it was apparently extra (something which was never clarified!). They told me to come back a few hours later which I thought was strange, to do my pedicure. I agreed that I would come back anyways, and so I did. I arrived 10 minutes before and to my suprised; a full salon. I didn't let it stress me much at first until it took 50 minutes for them to get to me. The nail job was mediocre, at best. All they really did was paint my nails white and somehow that alone costed around 45 dollars, not including tax. I was suprised, because never did they communicate that bio gel was not a part of the deal, despite me clarifying numerous times I was going for that combo specifically. The lack of communication on their part was extremely disappointing, as I mentioned I was never used to getting my nails done. When I talked to my friends about my experience afterwards, they brought up the fact that in this case, the deal should've applied but I be charged extra for bio gel which is common in other nail salons apparently. Overall had a not so good experience and I don't plan on coming ever again.Edit: I would also like to mention the rudeness of the employees. They talk bad about you and when I was paying, the lady straight up took my debit card and tapped on my behalf! For all she could've known, I might've wanted to pay with a different card. No respect for the customers at all!

This has been my favourite nail salon for the past 5 years. I was really sad to hear that they were under new management because I loved the staff there and Danny always did such an amazing job with my nails. I decided to give this salon a try in hopes that the new staff would be able to recreate my nails to how I showed them in the picture.I showed the woman doing my nails a picture of how I wanted them to look like. I was doing bio-gel. I described to her multiple times how I'd like the length and corners to be a bit more rounded. She did not even bother to show me the colour palette and just chose a colour on her own. I kept telling her multiple times I'd like them shorter because I cant have long nails for work. It seemed that she was getting frustrated with me and did not really listen to what I was asking for. She seemed to be in a rush and did not even care that the gel was thicker than my whole finger. The shape was not at all what I asked for, the colour was not what I wanted and some of my nails are still slanted and all different sizes...It seemed like she really did not care. I expressed my concerns to her multiple times and she just kept going.I was extremely disappointed with my nails but I paid and left. I came back 10 minutes later expressing my concerns that my nails were not at all what I asked for. The lady that was doing my nails had another customer and said she would be with me in a moment. She seemed very annoyed and frustrated that she had to fix my nails. I felt extremely uncomfortable and that as a customer my needs were not being met. She did not fix them at all - just changed the colour and even got nail polish all over my fingers. I paid a lot of money for nails that I honestly am extremely unhappy about and that were not at all what I asked for.It really is such a shame that the new management has taken over because I absolutely loved D&K Nails and would recommend all of my friends and family to come here. I will definitely be looking for a new nail salon. I do not recommend coming here.

Lyn did a great job on my pedicure & acrylic nails. She also tinted & shaped my brows. My nails feel very light, which is great!

New management, don’t come here! Got bio gel nails, 4 broke off within 10 days. I had to go back two separate times to get them fixed and the owner fixed them both times. She said next come I come in, ask for her and she will do my nails for free. I Should’ve known..I come back 3 days after she told me that (as ANOTHER nail broke) for a new fill and she charges me $50 for it. I say “I thought you told me this was free since so many nails broke last time…” She goes “No, it’s ok”. Like what does that mean? Almost seemed she was pretending she didn’t understand. I’ve been getting bio gels for years and have never seen so many break so quickly. Extremely poor quality and unprofessional. Will NOT be returning.
