It's really nice to go here even it's around 2.5hrs from Winnipeg. The full site campground is very well maintained (similar to Winnipeg Beach Campground).5 stars if it only has a beach that you can actually go for a swim. Lots of algae on the shore line. Beach is small too.Playground is closed. I believe it's because the campground is cautious about the pandemic (which is good but not good for kids who wants to play).A small store (CJ's) inside the campground. Food is not the great but they have a mini gold course that can be enjoyed by kids and adults.A nearby RM of Rivers is just 5mins away. This is a place to visit if you're interested in exploring the areas nearby. Couple of restaurants and bake shops are within the town.

We stayed just one night while driving across Canada. We arrived later afternoon. There were no staff on site and main building closed. Which we found weird for a weekend. Staff were driving around cleaning etc..There is a little store with a few supplies. An ice cream shop and mini golf available. There is a dog beach. A large well spread out camp ground. Most sites are shading and private. Clean bathrooms. Showers are hot, they have a few of $1 for 4 minutes. The main road to get there was rough. Really bumping. Maybe there was a better route to take. Once you get to the park, the highway does smooth out. Lots of signage.

This is a nice campground..clean and well maintained. Free wood which is awesome not too many campgrounds offer that anymore. During to the very low water levels this year all across southwestern Manitoba the swimming area isnt good. It needs to have the weeds removed in that area only.We are camping June 4/2021 weekend and as you can see from reservation site it shows u a firewood pile. When we got here we found out that now there is no longer free wood....you have to purchase.... so I have included a photo of how much wood u get for $20.00

Full service site are nice, spacious and wheelchair friendly. There is miniput and a chip truck plus beach with boat launch. Very clean sites. Just an FYI If your trailer faces west, in the full service sites, we found there do be no shade in the afternoon just all sun. One more thing the poutine is the best around.

Canteen staff were very friendly. Firewood was 10.00 a Rubbermaid bin and was delivered to site. Driver also drove around to different sites to see if you needed firewood. Beach left a lot to be desired. Currently under renovation. Water was full of algae and green slime.Dock was scary looking. There was kayaks for rent and peddle boats ,mini golf .Showers and bathroom were modern and clean in our area. Garbage and recycling bins were everywhere. Older crowd was there when we were . Not much for families with small children

The campground is small and the roadways are a bit tight for bigger units to maneuver but the sites are big enough to accommodate bigger campers. There are beautiful views of the lake from most sites. The beach area is nice with new sand, play structure and beach volleyball handy. We were disappointed to find out that there is algae in the lake so the beach isn't suitable for swimming but there are lots of boats, water skiers and tubers using the lake. To each their own!
