Althouse College

Not sure if Dean McNay is still there but it was such a horribly administered school when I attended. She was awful just oblivious. The woman who handled student teacher placement was the worst human I’ve ever met. Hopefully they’re both gone.Beyond that, as a school it focuses entirely too much on the academic/theory of teaching. If you want to get a doctorate on teaching and write papers about teaching then you should attend Althouse. If you want to become a teacher I’ve heard other programs are much better - not Queens but Nippissing or Trent.I hope the entire administration has retired. The pin ceremony… dear god.Just don’t do it.

We waited 40 mins for bar food....the vindaloo dip is too salty and looks like pudding turd. The beef melt I ordered had literally 1 ounce of beef on only half the sandwich. The steak my GF ordered wouldn't even cut it was so filled with fat and grizzle and tough. And it was rare. The fried pickles and pot stickers, fried shrimp and poutine looked alright. I can only rate a 1 star to review so I suppose it's worth at least one. Will not go back!

Beth cowardy or whatever the name was. She was my faculty advisor and did NOTHING. All my associate teachers hated her, and no wonder why. She almost looked around 60s when i attended few years back, so should be retired by now. The WORST teachers college ever. The schools in London are great place though
