Harbour Air Seaplanes Richmond (YVR South)

Had an amazing experience on my harbour air flight from Victoria to south Richmond. Adam, our pilot, was personable, friendly and really cared about the passengers on the flight. He offered me the co-pilot seat which I quickly accepted. He shared a lot about his flying experience including a number of things that I was completely unaware of having flown for so many years. Thank you Harbour Air and Adam for a great flight today!

Top notch service. Flew from Nanaimo to YVR South Terminal, return trip. The views are amazing, the staff and pilot were great and the value for money is excellent considering the convenience.

I loved this experience, all the staff was very friendly. It was a special trip with my dad and he just loved it as much as me. Flying into downtown Victoria was a truly beautiful experience. We also loved the bar/ restaurant while we waited for our flight. Great experience 100% will be back and recommend it !

Used turbo tickets to fly on the Friday of the thanksgiving weekend and back on the Sunday afternoon from YVR south to Victoria. Got on both times on standby no problem and it was such a smooth and easy experience. Both terminals have a lounge with tea and coffee while you wait. I live very close to the South YVR terminal and it included free parking so the trip back from start to finish was less then an hour. Taking the ferry from along with the drive would have been almost 4 hours and cost probably close to $200. Using the turbo tickets round trip was just over $100.

A pricy transport option to the Island but check-in and deplaning is quick and painless, and offers great views. About 30 minutes in the air from Richmond to Victoria harbour. It took me about an hour to arrive at the terminal via public transit from East Van - there's a restaurant/bar inside the station that you can have breakfast at. A big benefit is also landing right at Victoria inner harbour, compared to the 1 hour drive from Schwartz Bay when taking the ferry.

Flight was perfectly fine but terrible front desk and shuttle service at YVR South.

I loved the place so much! If you love planes, your will have the best time in there.Food is good, specially the Clam Chowder Soup. We ordered that twice. Other foods are were alright.

A seaplane is a very good option to get from Vancouver Mainland to Vancouver Island. They have a complimentary shuttle bus service from Vancouver International Airport to their terminal at Richmond on the Fraser River. We took a flight from Richmond to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island in June-2019. We had booked a 5.30 pm flight but reached the terminal earlier than expected. The staff was very courteous and accommodated us on the earlier 4 pm flight. We waited in the lounge and had some complimentary cookies and coffee.Our luggage was weighed and tagged. There is a limit of 50 pounds per person but extra luggage can be taken on a token payment of $1 per pound. Window seats can also be reserved on extra payment.The actual flight time from Vancouver to the Nanaimo Harbour across the Strait of Georgia is only 20 minutes, compared to about two hours taken by a ferry. The take off and the landing on the water was very smooth, smoother than the huge Boeing take-offs from Mumbai and Hong Kong. The scenic view from the window was very enchanting, and we saw a couple of BC Ferries crossing the Strait down below. The pilot was very competent and the staff were very courteous. We quite enjoyed our first time experience on the seaplane.

My partner and I had a great experience with Harbour Air. The staff were friendly and the lounges were comfortable with complimentary tea/coffee and snacks. The cost may be a bit prohibitive for some, however we decided to splurge given it was our honeymoon and certainly the most efficient way to travel given our limited time in B.C. Overall this was a quality service and we would recommend Harbour Air!
