The big billboard on the way into Victoria helped broadcast the merits of this cool mattress store that's proving that good mattresses don't have to come from big companies.You have to visit this showroom/factory to appreciate the quality of their products. They have about dozen different models to choose from, and use mostly natural ingredients to produce their entrees of good sleep.Prices are higher than average, but given the quality of the ingredients instilled in their products it seems justified. I wish I could have afforded to buy the best model but it was just too much for our budget.My only complaint would be the uniformity of the mattresses isn't perfect--there's an appearance that each mattress is it's own work of art... Like buying a cookie from the bakery versus a package of store bought biscuits.

I bought a super firm mattress from Fawcett back in the summer. Everything was handled quickly and professionally! It's always better to pay a bit more to get a longer lasting product and support local. It always pays off in the long run!This winter, it felt like the mattress was collapsing as I would wake up rolled into the middle and there was more structure on the sides. This didn't seem right for a less than year old mattress. I contacted the owner and he sent his staff out immediately to pick it up so he could inspect it. After rigorous testing, he found nothing wrong with the mattress. However, he had experienced this same issue on rare occasions with other customers and it was likely a result of the box spring. Having dealt with this before, he had a fix for me that works great. He even got the mattress back to me the same day!As every person is different, it is impossible for any company to make a mattress that works 100% for everyone. I am thrilled because while I was one of these people, they figured out a viable solution at no charge and had exceptional customer service!As a consumer, I don't care about reviews that people right when they say everything is great. I want to know that the company will stand behind what they do and listen to their customers. This is why I will be continuing to recommend Fawcett to friends and family.

I visited the new Nanaimo Fawcett store yesterday and I bought a latex mattress. I have been thinking about doing this for over a month now. I was so pleased with the help and information that Nadia gave me. She helped me to choose the best mattress for my needs and for my partner's. The shop is well set up and it was easy to try out different mattress and topper combinations. It was a great experience for me and I can't wait to receive my mattress.

My wife and I were very happy to find a locally owned and operated mattress manufacturer in Victoria. We booked our appointment and visited the showroom on a Saturday afternoon. The salesperson was friendly and engaging and more than happy to answer questions all while setting up the beds for many iterations of comfort. We were very impressed with the quality of the materials and the open manufacturing floor. You really can see how they construct the mattresses.It seems like covid-times have not slowed down their business. We ordered our new mattress right away and we expect to get it delivered in the next 4-6 weeks. We ended up ordering one of their most popular hybrid latex and pocket coil models. They were able to setup their showroom in a way so that we could try out all the different firmness combinations so that were pretty sure we've picked the right model. We also made note that their warranty and local exchange policies are very accommodating if the mattress is not quite right.Looking forward to our new mattress - our current one is definitely past its prime.

Not only is the quality of the workmanship excellent and the mattresses super comfortable (two Model 2s and one Model 1), the service is fantastic! I got my wool pillow shipped to London, Ontario hassle free and quick within a week from their Victoria, BC store. The quality of their wool pillow is second to none. Their customer service over chat and via email is also quite responsive. Whatever they describe on their online webstore is exactly what you should expect to receive. Highly recommended especially if you don't like a headache of returning items back to the store due to difference on item description and what you get in reality in terms of quality. :)

On every level, this experience has been fantastic. I was able to research the mattress model on a well-designed website. I was able to go in to the showroom and try it out during hours that were convenient. I was helped by friendly, knowledgeable staff (Thanks, Bart). Excellent products and superb service! Purchasing a Model 2 latex mattress, wool mattress protector, and organic wool duvet has transformed our sleep experience: we now maintain a comfortable, even temperature throughout the night and my dust and mite allergy has disappeared. Having used another company in Nanaimo for one mattress we decided to go to Fawcett for our next mattress. They provided a long consultation to ensure the mattress would be suitable. They delivered an excellent mattress, custom made, easy to flip and very comfortable. We will certainly use Fawcett again and highly recommend them.

Bought the wool duvet and it is awesome . No more throwing the covers on and off all night. It keeps you comfortably warm but not sweating. This one is way better than the mulberry silk one I had previously. The latex high loft pillows sold at Fawcett are amazing too. Perfect with no flattening of them when I sleep and no sore neck and shoulder when iIawake. They are the real deal and I will never buy any others. I highly recommend Fawcett Mattress Co.
