Love this store. Staff are friendly, decent trade-in rates, and great selection of media that are hard to find elsewhere.

Wide variety of selection as always. I know a new worker was being trained so it took longer than normal to check out. I am not sure of the practice on cleaning the discs is done at the time of trade-ins or as the customer makes purchases. I do appreciate having every disc cleaned despite waiting 10-15 minutes at the front counter. Overall, a good experience nonetheless.

Great place for media. You can get movies, cds and other media pretty cheap but still functional. Staff is helpful and courteous.

I can't recall how long I've been dealing with The Beat Goes On, except if I recall correctly my earliest experience was trading in most of my VHS films and buying DVDs. I no longer live near one of their stores, so have been dealing with them online.Since we recently moved to a rural setting with poor Internet, we have a renewed interest in bolstering our collection of physical media. Specifically, we have been seeking Blu Ray and 4K versions of films as well as some hard to find" titles on DVD.I was happy to find so many titles readily available. It is also great to have the "wish list" feature watching for films that they don't have on hand. Just beware: you have to act fast when you get the wish list notification!Prices are excellent. They understandably vary based on how new the film is and the media type (DVD vs Blu Ray vs 4K). Some discs are very hard to find

The Beat Goes On formerly on King St. In Waterloo recently moved to a much better location on Weber St N across from the Waterloo Regional Police Station.Inside it is quite the contrast from their old location.The aisles are wider and the lightening is much brighter. It is so much easier to find what you are looking for.They also added all types of gaming systems and very old games along with 3 arcade machines to play with.It is a vast improvement and a more pleasant place to shop.

I took in several boxes of old DVDs, games, and Blu-ray discs and was quite thrilled with the amount of trade-in value they gave me. Very quick turnaround!
