Avis Car Rental

Booked an electric car. Best experience. Went for pickup and received the car with proper instructions. Excellent new Tesla model 3 . Drop off also super convenient.

I reserved a mid size sedan. total was 430 incl. taxes and stuff. I showed up, stood in the queue for an hour, they tell me we dont have anything but a pick up truck. I had no choice. took it. they confirmed no additional charge. it destroyed my gas budget. I return it on time. next day I see 555 charged on my card. Let's see how they resolve this.

Staff were rude and not very helpful (even given the low bar I have for rental staff) and they tried to bully my co-worker into adjusting his rental because of an error made by the AVIS corporate staff. Truly disappointed that a manager representing a service company would resort to yelling at a business customer because she couldn't be bothered to sort out an issue or even look up the corporate information from our rental. Honestly I have had better service from an automated kiosk, and I look forward to seeing these staff replaced by a computer since at least then we could have cancelled and gone to book with another company without being subjected to verbal abuse.

Could not have been happier with Shawn(?) from Avis at YUL. Gave me a one-way Dodge Durango 1 day rental for $378 CAD which would normally have been $700+ CAD. Fixed Air Canada's mess for me and got me home in Michigan 24 hours ahead of what AC could do and saved me money in the long run. Thanks to the amazing people at Avis at YUL who were up at 1am last night. My dogs really love having their father home for the weekend so thank you, thank you, thank you!

Always has a great experience here with Avis! Very busy place, but consistently being good and has many selections of the rentals! Staffs are friendly and helpful. Always being willing to help with your needs and inquiries! Picking up the right rental car to match your status and eligibility! Highly recommended.

A long waiting in a check-in queue was a punishment for choosing the best offer (compared to other companies), getting a BMW instead of Hyundai for the same price was very pleasant, everything else went on smoothly, we had no problems at all.

Had booked and paid for a specific type of car, however on arrival there were no cars available for us. The only option was for us to upgrade" to another car which cost nearly an extra $400 Canadian dollars. The car was booked well in advance so not happy that this additional cost was passed on to us

Montreal Airport location is excellent, always get treated with professional respect, cars are always clean and well maintained. We have had issues at other AVIS locations, this one has continued to shine as a great experience

No mobile check in the way they have in USA. Avis “preferred” is non existent. Cars are normal/good. No trash cans when returning the car! And not a soul in sight. No one to check me in.

We were able to get a great deal and got a complimentary upgrade which made our journey a lot more comfortable. The staff was super kind and helpful at pick up and drop off was very simple, we were able to park, drop off the keys and head to our terminal right away. Thanks!
