You can feel the love the minute you walk in the front doors of The Pastry Portal!! You see the staff smiling, customers happily munching on their delicious treats and everything tastes even better than it looks!! Their croissants are to die for and - the HONEY MOZZARELLA pizza bun will change your life!!

The business was very clean and nice inside; it’s a place you’d sit down and enjoy the ambiance. The cookie was amazing and gooey, highly recommend for something gluten free. The lemon square was also excellent.The almond croissant was awful, dry with very little moisture or filling, and it had a weird meat taste in some spots, likely stored with savoury stuff beside it.I also got a chai tea latte, which was also sadly awful. Super watered down and overly sweet. It was made using a stash tea bag, and it was not a good combo.

The Pastry Portal raises the bar with innovative and punchy flavor combinations which leave you wanting more. Bite into the Salted Caramel Croissant, and you will swoon. Its sweetness is tempered to perfection by the cream cheese filling, piped into a light and deliciously flaky croissant. It doesn't get better than this. Once bitten, forever smitten... you have been warned.

We tried The Pastry Portal after walking by multiple times when they were closed. I glad we tried them! They had so many tasty looking options, but in the end we chose a croissant and a lemon bar. Both were fantastic! Looking forward to trying more from them.

The pastries are like nothing you will find anywhere else. The atmosphere is so bright and inviting. And they serve Smoking Gun coffee (which is local and amazing!)

Such happy friendly service! The sweet treats were really good, but I hear the savoury bakes are even better! Coffee was spot on, and next time I need to try the hot chocolate. Brought a box of goodies back to my office and everyone found every bite delicious. The choc chip cookie is one of the best around. The coconut scone was good (but I don’t love sweet scones). Dine-in space is light and cheerful.

Lovely coffee shot with yummy goodies. Don't leave without the lemon bar, it is devine. Prices on average, are fair with some great deals, and some super overpriced ones. Quality is amazing this place is sure to make everyone happy, as you can always find something you like. The two reasons why I gave 4 stars and not 5, are the lack o sitting. If you go there in the am, it is hard to find a place to chill, and due to some goodies be over $8 a piece, which you do not even find in Vancouver coffee shops where rent is 100000x higher.Would definitely recommend a visit, cantwait to go back.

Popped in as was looking for a nice spot to connect with my friend while we had our visit. WOW.. great food, excellent service - that echoed what I have read in reviews. The food - had the cheesecake - it was incredible. The seasoned scone - so fresh, so tasty and not too much of anything - it was lovely. Clean, fresh, approachable, private with personal yet community spirit - great find. I happily give 5 plus. They are new but, I do not expect this would change. I suspect they will always make great food and have competent friendly service in a clean environment.

Fantastic new pastry shop in downtown Abbotsford. While the pastries have all been delicious, their breakfast sandwiches and coffee is fantastic. The Spanish coffee is a must try, and on a few occasions, the breakfast sandwiches, served on a flaky and cheesy biscuit, were top notch. Must stop for breakfast and grab a pastry for later in the day!
