Shoppers Drug Mart

Had the security guard basically trip over himself trying to follow me and another pair of people. There was tons of other people in the store, but he felt the need to just follow the native people. I asked the cashier if they're told to follow native people. He said no, but it seriously looks like that's what they're told

Recommend you get rid of Dee who is the “beauty specialist” seems she has no compassion for any race except for Caucasian people. She’s big on accusations and judgement on customers while their shopping and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. She encourages the other staff to follow her lead and should be ashamed of herself. Shame on shoppers drug mart for hiring anyone who doesn’t treat people as equal. Broad street location should be closed down for the continued racism that occurs in that building. I would not step foot in there, I would suggest much better places to spend your money such as London drugs!

The main pharmacist is rude, and condescending. Both myself and my partner have had terrible experiences with him despite going to this pharmacy for years. My partner finally had enough and lost it and told him he is switching pharmacies. The pharmacist told him to go ahead, he wants him to. As he is supposed be a health care worker, I don’t feel comfortable in asking him questions about my prescriptions, calling in my renewals and picking them up, and I always feel I’m inconveniencing him. My partner has many prescriptions and has now transferred his prescription catalogue to another location. It’s a terrible feeling when you don’t feel comfortable or safe with your pharmacist, who in part, takes part in your health care. I will be transferring as well. I don’t know why nothing has been done about him, .especially since with the repeated negative reviews this location has recieved

Pharmacist was so rude. Very dismissive and inconsiderate. Cut me off as I was asking questions about my sick 2 year old. Would not give me any suggestions as what to give him. Rude not only to me but to another older gentleman in the line behind me. They were closing in 30 mins and he was treating everybody in the store like they were inconveniencing him by being there. There was also an indigenous lady in there and they had security following around about a foot behind her at all times as she shopped. Blatant racism and discrimination. The whole atmosphere of that location was so unwelcoming.

This is the racist shoppers correct? I can not imagine this review will do much of anything, but seeing and hearing your staff act the way they do is disgusting. I’m not saying I identify by a certain race but seeing your staff going viral online (and you know who you are) for being racist towards indigenous people is brutal. I find it ironic you think people of colour are the worst but white people are just as bad and you clearly show it. You make a bad name for some of us. This is a clearly a fully grown adult acting like a child, and yet they represent your company, if I acted the way they did I would have been fired on the spot but I’m assuming since they are “white” they got a free pass. Shame.

Do not go here if you are of colour. The cashier, the make up clerk, and the security followed me around like I was stealing. They accused me of stealing and they also told me to leave the store in a rude manner as I was picking up my daughters prescriptions. I went to go see if my prescription was ready and the security guard told me I can't walk around the store when I was trying to buy cat food. He said go back to the prescription area and stay there in a disrespectful voice. I could not walk around in peace even if I could afford it. They were also rude enough to tell my daughters grandma that they don't deliver medication to her senior high rise when she sees them deliver medication at her building. Shoppers is a great store, good layout, they have different quality stuff than my local Shoppers but the employees here at this one have trust issues and make people feel less than. I never want to go back here again. Go to another Shoppers if you can!

Even though I had no plans of shopping today I stopped in to do a little shop I get to the till and they have no bags for me to buy. I couldn't find anybody to help me at the time with the bag problem. Went over to the beauty department and she sold me a bag thanks to her I was able to buy my stuffThere was a sale on the no name brand potato chips and everywhere I went that same potato chip price was different. I found someone to help me with it, to see exactly how much they were And the shoppers drug mart employee was very helpful and I thanked him.

Very racist staff. The “ beauty manager” made me cry and called me a dirty Indian.

Cashiers might aswell not even work here, an elderly lady was left to bag her own groceries after paying and when I got to the counter I had to wait for someone to show up and instead of using another till she called me over to the counter the old lady was still bagging her stuff at rushing her. I set my basket of stuff on the counter and she told me I had to take it out of the basket for her, I happen to not be getting paid to work here. Afterwards I paid and she threw the recept on the counter and walked away, I clearly had enough stuff to need a bag. Didn't get one grabbed my stuff and walked out, left my recept for her to pick up when she got back. Honestly lazy suprised they aren't volunteers and they get paid for that proformance

I've never had a problem with staff being rude. They're normally on time with prescriptions. Great location. Never had a problem on the till with the regular store. My one gripe, which is why I only gave three stars, is that over the years every now and again when I asked to see if I'm covered under my drug plan the staff say no I'm not covered based on what they read on their computer. They don't ask the pharmacist to make sure. So then I'm left to my own devices. Once I track down the correct person that covers my plan they tell me that the pharmacist should be making this phone call because it works a lot quicker and it's just their job. Then in the past I have also found out that I am covered. Even if I'm not covered they should still be making the same phone call. There used to be a girl that worked there all the time and she was amazing. Or should I say she just knew her job but on the backdrop of everyone else she really was amazing. Very knowledgeable. I wish I knew her name because I would suggest that she should be there training the other employees. I haven't seen her in a long time but every now and again it seems as though she fills in for some shifts. This is a case of either lack of training or someone who feels too rushed to go through the proper procedures or the employee is simply no good for the job. Take your pick on which one of those. They're often busy there which is no fault of their own. I have no problem with that. That's a case of having a little patience or as i do, call it in a day ahead of time.
