My kids and I ride, take lessons and board 3 horses at Kaiser Stud. I’ve always been extremely happy with the care the horses receive and our lessons are fantastic. A little over a year ago I had to have surgery that kept me away from the barn for a little while and not once did I worry about the horses or my kids. I knew without question that my horses would be content and healthy and my kids would be happy and busy riding. Kirsten routinely goes above and beyond for her riders and cares for their horses as though they were her own. I’ve recommended her barn to many people who have become happy boarders here.

I highly recommend Kaiser Stud. I moved my horse to Kirsten’s two years ago and we have been very happy. It is hard to find a community like the one here. The staff and boarders are all lovely and Kirsten truly goes above and beyond to care for your horse. She is always there to answer questions (which I very much appreciated being a first time horse owner), give advice, and has your horses best interest in mind. I appreciate Kirsten’s attention to detail when it comes to the care of your horse, she treats every horse like her own.Kirsten is also a fantastic coach that has taken me and my horse to a new level.

Kaiser studCoach Kirsten at Kaiser Stud in Cookstown, is amazing and the passion shines off of her when it comes to teaching children their lessons and being around horses/ponies. Her barn is fantastic, big arena for the children to learn in, clean and tidy.My daughter has been at Kaiser Stud for almost 16 months now. My daughter was at another barn before Kaiser and learned nothing. I have to say with the passion, love, kindness, great coaching that’s positive and inspiring my daughter has learned so much from Kirsten! and my daughters riding is a reflection of this.My daughter has learned so much from Kirsten and I can personally say that I get to witness this every week, how much my daughter learns and grows. I get to watch how much of a great coach Kirsten is and how amazing she’s at her job. She is a true coach who’s actually there for the children that loves her job!I say this because my daughter was having a hard time a while ago, scared because she had almost fell off the pony, which yes in this sport it can happen. BUT The engorgement, patience, the kindness, always cheering my daughter on,never giving up on my daughter and the inspiration she gave my daughter showed!!. She took her time out to help my daughter regain her confidence again and never gave up on her! This was so heart warming to watch and watch my daughter grow. This shows what kind of coach she truly is! And that is a amazing coach! Who cares about the kids she coaches. Another great thing I get to watch is how she interacts with the kids, she will ask every child how was your day?You can honestly tell that coaching is the greatest job she has with great passion because sitting on the bench watching her yell “Woo Hooo”, “Yay!!”, “That was beautiful”,and so on while the kids are in their lesson. She teaches with awesome feedback, tips/pointers and guidance. She coaches so well and every week I get to watch her help all the kids learn and grow and it’s incredible!!!If you are wanting to know what place to take your kids, your self or someone else, I highly recommend this barn! And this coach! You won’t find anyone who has this kind of passion or caring for the children, Horses and ponies.

I boarded my horse here for over 6 years and did not want to leave but had to due to distance after I moved. Well maintained barn and arena and lots of room for turnout. Kirsten is a great coach and barn staff are awesome. Wonderful place for kids to learn.

Many years ago Kirsten introduced me to the love of my life, a 13 year old Thoroughbred at Kaiser Stud. Thomas is now 21 years old, chubby and happy and he definitely loves his home here. That is what's most important to me. I've seen many horses come here skinny and leave chubby. Kirsten is very good at getting to know each horses needs and is always glad to give advice on helping keep your horse healthy and as well as training advice. She believes in keeping things simple. She's always around to help since she loves her barn. As one of my barn mates points out here, its interesting how many people leave and return, and since I've been here for a while I've seen quite a few.

I've ridden with Kirsten for over 5 years. She always goes above and beyond for her riders and their horses. She takes great care of the horses and is an amazing coach, from beginners to A-circuit level. I recommend Kaiser Stud to anyone, wether it be for first time lessons, boarding, or joining the competitive show team.

Absolutely the best barn to board your horse. We came over a year ago and my daughter is the happiest she has ever been with the positive and wonderful coaching she receives at Kaiser Stud. Our horse was thin before and has gained weight and is so much stronger since we started boarding here! Kirsten takes wonderful care of her riders and her horses. Definitely a great place to board your horse!

Kirsten is an incredible coach!!!! She has taken my daughter from a walk/trot beginner to having found her true passion! Her happy place is the barn and her Kaiser stud family!! I'm so grateful we found this barn for my daughter to learn to ride at. She is now showing and wouldn't dream of being anywhere else!! I highly recommend Kaiser Stud and Kirsten to anyone looking to start riding or compete competitively!

I’ve always been “ a call it how I see it “ kinda gal. Known Kirsten now, for quite sometime we have our daughters horse here, never a worry about him.Kirsten has an excellent feed program and unlimited hay at all times, which to me is important. She’s a wonderful coach, cares immensely for each and every horse or Pony at her barn, not too mention the passion she has for her lesson kids and adults, she has always gone above and beyond for my daughter Madison and our lovely boy Max. Madison has had excellent opportunities to move forward in her competitive levels, showing not just her own horse, but a few of Kirstens as well. This is a wonderful barn 1) to bring your horse crazy kid to learn to ride in a positive and safe environment 2) Board your horse there, excellent care and attention to your horses needs 3) A relaxed, friendly barn family. I could certainly say more, but I can honestly say, it's the place we want to be, and I know several other horse and Pony owners feel this way. Not too mention, many ppl come back to Kirstens Barn, hmmmm why is that ? Because, it’s really that great !!!!

I did not have great experience at Kaiser Stud. I was there as a loyal part boarder to a horse for 5 years and the owner moved her closer to where I lived, to Kaiser Stud for the final year I was with this horse. It is a hunter/ jumper barn for certain and we were in the eventing world. That mare started to have hoof problems after moving here, but I can’t for certain say if it is anything to do with the barn as I was not fully privy to vet care details once we moved to this farm. There were occasions when the stall was not clean and I would go visit at night when she would have just been brought in for the night. I also was told by others that the horses would stay in the stall for periods of two weeks at a time, myself and the owner were not notified of this.Kirsten was a very quirky person ( in a negative way) to get on with, I am also quirky… hence why I love animals….if she doesn’t like you, she will make it very clear and will make it very uncomfortable for you.The arena is gorgeous and the barn backs onto the transcanada trail which is beautiful to hack on. The barn was very busy with lessons, but Kirsten was very accommodating as to when you could ride when there went lessons going on. It is very peaceful at the barn at night with the others who want to spend some quality quiet time with horses. I do have to say, Kirsten is a great coach and has great skill set in that department. You can tell she is doing what she loves when she is coaching, she is also very fun with it.The fencing and gates to the paddocks are very run down. Also, there is no room for rotation in the paddocks. She does get really nice green grass to grow though. The hay at times can be really moldy… I don’t know why she would put some of the stuff she did out. The paddocks get really muddy come spring/ fall and any thaws. Which would result in her keeping the horses in… even for extended periods of time, without relaying to the owners that this is the case. She also wouldn’t let them stretch their legs when they were kept in. Also, in the winterand rain, the paddocks do not have any lean tos.She loves her show horses though. That is quite obvious.I feel I could write a novel on my experiences here. But overall, for someone who simply has a passion to be around horses and not for showing, this barn doesn’t get the greatest review from me as the vibes weren’t the greatest. I enjoy upfront and honest businesses and I don’t feel they have that quality here.
