Josh with Discovery West Adventures was an amazing tour guide. Such a memorable experience! You can tell they care about what they do and the wildlife. I highly recommend them for whale watching!

The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. When we spotted a rare dolphin he got really excited, showing the passion he had for wildlife. The lunch provided was tasty. We booked a whale watching trip but got much, much more. It was surprising how much other wildlife we got to see. Overall I'd say it was a great experience that I'll remember fondly.

Chelsea and Josh were fantastic hosts/guides when my sister and I did a 6-hour whale watching tour with them this weekend. We are locals who enjoy getting out now and then to get a better look at our beautiful wildlife and environment, so we have gone out with a few different local tour groups over the years. Highly recommend Discovery West Adventures, run by awesome people who make sure you have an awesome trip!

Such an awesome day out on the water!! We started our day off with a pod of dolphins and ended our day with another large pod of dolphins jumping out of the water right before seeing a humpback. The highlight had to be the sea lions hunting and feeding on a school of salmon. Josh was so knowledgeable and friendly. It’s obvious he’s passionate about the wildlife and it not only shows but makes the experience that much better. Highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend Discovery West Adventures! We took the 6 hour whale watching tour and were fortunate to spot Risso's dolphins, which are a very rare sighting in the Salish Sea; even Josh our skipper was super excited about seeing these animals. We truly had an amazing time, thanks Josh for making this the best whale watching tour we have so far been on!

We recently did the Waterfalls and Wildlife tour. We saw dozens of waterfalls and due to the unseasonably warm weather, there was a lot of upper mountain melt making many of the waterfalls much larger than our guide Josh had ever seen them. On top of that, the scenery was amazing. In terms of wildlife, we saw eagles, seals, a sea lion, a humpback, black bears and to top it off, a grizzly.Even though there were only the 2 of us, Discovery West still took us out. Josh was amazing. He was a fountain of information about the wildlife as well as the area. He was great at spotting wildlife and made sure that we never got too close to disturb the animals. It was very clear that Josh loves and respects the environment that he takes people out to see.Anyone looking for a small group, personalized tour, Discovery West is the one to chose!

Fantastic day out. Josh knew the area well and could spot wildlife without even trying. We were lucky to see bears and some cubs, orcas breaching, dall's porpoises and dolphins swimming with the boat. Beautiful scenery in every direction. Highly recommended. Make sure you go to the right marina though :)

Best day ever!! Josh is very knowledgeable and personable. We saw a lot of humpback whales and bald eagles! I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area!
