Came for the dine around menu - spectacular meal and amazing price! Service was flawless and food was superb (prime rib)…we will be back!Shout out to Emily-Jane our lovely server and Mike (owner)!

Ambience of the restaurant was nice. Food was really not great. Ordered prime rib. Received a giant ball of non-rendered fat and some meat. Meat was pretty bland and definitely needed more seasoning. Baked potato and beets were undercooked. All food needed more seasoning. Bernaise sauce was made well. Service was excellent. Would debate going back as there are plenty of other steakhouses around that provide better quality food. Did not find the food to be great value or great tasting. Had obviously been sitting a bit before being brought out for service.

We stayed at the Sutton place and came to chop literally twice a day during our stay.The happy hour is twice a day! Which includes food and drinks.Everyone has been super nice! Asha and Brittney at the bar have been amazing! From remembering our orders to providing exceptional customer service. They would also happily make us drinks that we requested that weren’t even on the menu!Jeremy from management has also been amazing. The female manager was also amazing(sadly we didn’t get her name).We would recommend Chop to anyone visiting halifax!Thank you all for a great time!

Went to Chop Steakhouse last night for our 53rd anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Anthony( our waiter) took care of making the evening memorable. He checked with us periodically to make sure we were satisfied. The onion rings, Caesar salad, sirloin steak and prime rib were perfect. The beans could have been cooked a little longer. We ended the evening with a special dessert provided by Anthony.PS Hope you are able to get to Ontario tonight

I ordered chicken wings, burger and ribeye steak.The waiter was very polite and gave us all information we asked for.she checked in on us frequently. Wings and burger were good but not the best ones. The steak was charred too much. The crust was burnt and ruined the overall taste of the steak for me. When I asked waiter about it, she said that’s how it’s made. So personally not the place for me. Totally not worth the price!!

Amazing evening with wonderful service and delicious meals. Tried the Dine Around Menu and was blown away by the choices, the freshness of the food and the taste was incredible. Personal service and I will be back!

Went for a friends birthday celebration, an amazing atmosphere, server was amazing as well, fun and bubbly. Food was delicious, the only complaint was the blueberry cheesecake was extremely dry. Overall would recommend and cannot wait to go back.

Decent food average service.Restaurant is basically the inner lobby of the hotel. No hostess stand, you just kind of walk up awkwardly and hope someone helps you to a table.Went there for dinner at 5pm on Saturday. Had reservations for 5 adults and a child, they gave us a booth that would usually comfortably fit 4. Maybe their space isn’t meant for larger groups. We barely had sitting space with our coats. Asked for coat check and we were shown a room under Reno (that’s okay) with the cheapest wire hangers (ick).Steak was good, mine also had scallops and shrimp (decently cooked), mashed potatoes were great. kids meal was good value, I’m not into fries but theirs was good. The community bread was so good, that crust led to pillowy dough, served with perfect whipped butter (though brown butter flavour was lacking (a hack is to fry milk or milk powder in the butter for more caramelized goodness)).Cute spot but pretty average.Oh their burger week burger is supposedly amazing (tempura lobster tail with a beef patty)Decent prices, nice ambiance, service could have been better
