Bow RiversEdge Campground

This is beautifully situated on the Bow River. I am a returning camper after 12 years. The place is still immaculate. There is an awesome off lease dog walk on the river. I love the river walk.

Wonderful campground for families or solo campers. The adjacent waking/cycling path provides miles of beautiful scenery. The campground is nicely laid out for privacy, clean washrooms with lots of showers and friendly staff. Perfect hub location for visiting Calgary, Canmore or Kananaskis. Highly recommend it…

Nicely kept, very clean, very quiet rv park. Many people stay the entire summer; mostly retired folks. Sadly the river is not accessible from the rv park but the view is nice. The area directly adjacent to the park is under huge construction as they prepare to build a whole new community. Great access to amenities as the park is in town.

We only overnighted here, but the campground has everything for a longer stay. Washrooms and showers, kids playground, and access to a public riverside walking path. Our stay was quiet. Campsites are well separated and a good size. Convenient location to Cochrane and Calgary is not far away. The WiFi was awesome! Friendly front desk person, too.

The best RV campground we ever used. Very well managed. Very quiet area. Very convenient place. Just next to the river side park. Great for families.

What a perfect campground. They have super clean washrooms, a nice laundry facility and an office with lots of supplies or snacks. The ladies on the front desk were very friendly. My favorite part was camping on the side next to the off leash dog park. All the dogs and owners were very well behaved lol from what I scene. The lots had either 30 or 50 amp,decent wifi, some were pull thru or back in, water and sewer connections in all 144 sites. Maintenance were busy manicuring the grounds. I only stayed one night but I pretty much used all the amenities without any issue and felt very safe there as well. Definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Great location right on the Bow river, with access to trails. Very clean washrooms and laundry. Five minute drive into Cochrane for supplies. Very well laid out sites with trees and shrubs for privacy. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this campground.

Beware!! We reserved in advance and upon check-in I was told that there was a 11pm curfew at which time the iron gates would be locked! I told her that this would not work with our family celebratory dinner plans which started at 8pm in downtown Calgary, 45 minutes away. (I had not seen my son who lives in Miami for almost 2 years). There is no way that we could have our dinner party and be back to the campsite before 11pm. Our transportation is our Class C motor home and we would have been locked out!! Also, my husband has medical issues and we would not have been able to get medical care after 11pm as we would have been locked in! This policy is neither realistic or safe!I advised the girl at the check in counter that this would not work for us, that we would have to make other arrangements and politely asked for a refund. Although they were completely sold out out of sites, she said she was unable to provide a refund because it was short notice. This was at 4pm in the afternoon, plenty of time to re-rent the site. She was adamant that rules were rules. We had no choice but to take our losses and leave.Imposing a curfew is one thing. But to lock down a public facility WITHOUT an after hours night guard on duty, or a key pad with a code or a card to swipe is ludicrous! This kind of policy should NEVER be allowed and I am considering reporting this to the authorities for safety reasons for future campers.

Great campground. Very well maintained. Staff friendly and customer oriented. Only issue is that sites are quite close together and each site has a firepit. Consequently, the smoke from the adjacent site flows right into your windows. Fire pits are a negative in this setting.

Beautiful, clean location. Right next to the river. Enjoyed my 3 nights here, long walks along the river and friendly people everywhere. Very helpful staff.
