Purchase a ring at this Birks and was very well served by the Portuguese attendee. She was professional and attentive. The male customer service representative on the other hand, is an ogre. He never returned any of my calls, made false promises and never let me know when the ring was ready. Beside this incompetent sales rep, I highly recommend shopping as they have fabulous pieces of jewelry and take care of your needs and after purchase cleaning services diligently.

Worst service.Bought a wedding band on dec 27th. The vendor (Nicolas) said they had my size in another store, should take 2-3 days to get it.5 days later: no news so I call them. 3 calls are needed because only my vendor can answer me. He says the other store did not have it so a special order is needed. He says it should take 1 month.1 1/2 month later: No news. I call them. Again, only Nicolas can answer me so we echange calls and messages before we speak. They have received the band. Why haventh they called me?!? When I try it, it's too large because the sizing ring in store has a.different texture (I understand this can happen). I nedd to pay in full and they will try to resize the ring (they don't know if it's do-able, only the lab knows)3 days later, they call me... The lab can't resize, a special order is needed. 3-4 weeks and they promise to call me back when tbey get it (I insist on that point)2 months later: No news. I call them again. Again, we need 3-4 calls before I can get to speak to Nicolas, because no other employee has the right to speak to me. Nicolas says there has been a problem with the order, blames the head quarter for the mistake (as if it was a distinct company). Can't promise anything about the delay but says he'll call the next Monday when he'll know the delay.Next monday: he doesn't call(again!!!!) So I call. He has no idea about the delay, but rhe order was placed again. I explain how bad my case was handled, while they have my money and I only have a yellow paper in exchange. Says he's sorry and they can reinburse (remember, its a wedding band I bought, I need it for the wedding, I cant go shopping again with no insurance I'll get it on time!!). I ask for a money compensation. He says hell check with the manager thr next day.Next day: no news so I call back on the evening. He didint check with the manager but she's gone. He says we're close to getting the ring. I explain again that I ham unhappy with the service. This time being more insistant. Surprise : he calls back 15 minutes later and he just got the news from the headquarters that I will get my ring 4 days later (how convenient). The manager calls the next day and leaves a message saying shes sorry.Now we are 4 days later at 6 pm and... They haven't called me yet!Conclusion: stay away, you pay more at birks to get a good service but you will not get it and you will be lucky if you get the jewelry you paid for! Carrefour laval is their worst store!

Terrible service. Danny is the guy who served us. First of all upon entering the store on a tuesday afternoon, both employees were sitting on their chair not being busy with any other customer, did not welcome us. I had to ask for help. Danny was extremely rude. I believe he treated us like for sure they can not afford and will not buy. When I asked questions and asked to show some sample rings that I can compare... he felt lazy to serve us as he migbt have assumed that we might not buy and said I don't kbow all the rings in my store which I understand but I believe therr could be a professional way to say so. Later he went and started talking to his coworker. It was a very bad experience because they judged the book by its cover. I am very happy not to purchase anything and not be a Birks repesentative of jewellery just because of such rude attitude of the employees.

The service is slooow, and they make you wait your turn outside. The manager is there in the back but won't take the time to adjust my bracelet. Once you gave them 10k $ good luck getting a friendly service lol. I'll pay a jeweler to adjust my bracelet just so I never have to be treated like that again by Birks employeesNext week update*** I've been wearing a watch for 6 months that doesn't fit my wrist right....only because the staff at Birks doesn't know enough about watches and they told me there is no solution to adjust my bracelet properly. Because last week they were so unprofessional I went to the bay and the young girl there figured it out, did the proper adjustments....it's insulting and frustrating to receive such poor service for such a luxury item. I wish I could return this watch and buy it from a store I trust

Terrible service! I bought a wedding band today and had to wait for a good 30 mins until a sales rep assisted me. They didn't give me much information on my order, instead I had to ask them for all the information I needed. Definitely not going back to Birks in the future if I don't have to.

Very bad experience.I went today to sell some gold pieces I have heritage from my parents.I saw their add in the store “sell your gold with trust”campaign.I said to myself they must give me a good competitive price since it is a reputable jewelry company and their jewelry are so expensive.Well I am not only disappointed of the price they Offered me(a small jewelry shop offered me way more couple of days ago)but I am more sad of their procedure of checking my jewelry!without my permission ( I specified I wanted an estimation only)the “specialist “used a metal file to check my jewelry.From 7 pieces only 3 were unmarked!!but he scratched 6 of them!!most likely they want to make sure you loose value already if you want to sell your jewelry in particular!!!If you want to sell your gold try small jewelry shops,believe me you will be surprised and more satisfied of the price they have to offer!!I just don’t understand how they sell their jewelry thousands of Dollars and when you want to sell your jewelry they try to rip people off!!to bad people in order to show their love (in the name “of love”)buy from them on credit and put themselves in debts !at the end they make their jewelry’s out of nothing!I wish I coud give half star but I can’t ....
