VF Services Canada Inc. - Edmonton

I had a pleasant visit to this Centre. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I do, however, have an issue.On May 31 I attended my biometrics appointment and 24hrs prior I submitted my supporting documents online and paid for the Document Scanning service. Upon arrival, I was told since I uploaded the documents online, I did not use the service and should email requesting a refund. I was provided an email and emailed that same day as advised. It has now been over a month and I still have not received a response about my refund. The fee was 44£ and that is too high a fee to let go.To any staff/manager, please reach out to me regarding my refund, thank you.

The appointment ran smoothly because I had all the required documents. The security lady was super" nice and helpful contrary to what reviews say. I assume the old security guy with bad reviews has been replaced.I took one star off because I wasn't able to upload my documents in one sitting. The website kept complaining that my PDFs are password protected when they are "not". After refreshing the page multiple times

We are a family of 4 who applied for UK visas via VFS Edmonton. Other than the security guard, who was very polite and quick to answer questions, the staff we dealt with were unprofessional, uncommunicative, and, frankly exploitative. We had 4 appointments booked back-to-back and the first of us was only assisted mid-way through the time booked for the 4th of us. We were charged exorbitant fees to print out the single part of our application that we forgot (the checklist page), even though it was never once stated that we needed to print that or anything else out before arriving (what, after all, was the point of uploading everything online before coming?). This company owes me money--I paid for a service which I never received at no fault of my own. Contacting them and actually speaking to a person in any way is nearly impossible. I left a request for Customer Service to contact me ages ago and have not been reached out to. When I asked about this in person, I was just directed to their website again. I will be reporting them to the BBB unless this is remedied.

Well the website to book an appointment is the worst ever whatI have seen in my life. I am surprised how do people even get an available appointment date to book in Edmonton.The Website shows earliest available date is xyz and then when we enter all the details the next page for booking a slot will be all greyed out! This is so frustrating that they cannot fix the issue.It is giving such a bad name to Netherlands Consulate. Its beena month I am trying and not a single date comes up to book anappointment. Absolute joke! Please let me know if there is any option to book an appointment over the phone.

My advice - attend any other centre you can. I attended for biometrics for my UK visa, and left my passport. A text number has indicated that my passport was given to a courier, but the Fedex tracking I received at my appointment shows the passport has not been picked up. VFS' Dashboard shows my passport has been delivered - it has not. My attempts to contact anyone for assistance have been ignored, as a result of this location's intentional efforts to not be reached. Save yourself the frustration, headache, and uncertainty - go somewhere else.To the owner, who has now replied - my inquiries via Twitter, and your feedback forms, have gone unanswered to date. You can locate my information there.Edit 15 May: after having received no contact, assistance, or indication as to why VFS advised me my processed application had been dispatched by courier, I contacted UKVI to learn my application was still being processed. VFS Edmonton has failed to not only meet its own service standards, but also to provide any assistance at all. If I could lower my rating, I would. If you can afford to, avoid the Edmonton office entirely.

This is really a best service from the security to the biometric and passport taking, they were all professionals. Submitted on 6th June 2023 and to my surprise my passport was already sent to fedex to deliver to me and I got it today 21st June 2023. What a good service from Vfs Edmonton centreKeep it up ….

Please exercise your judgement cautiously at this center, they seem to be overworked and understaffed.As I used the “keep my Visa” option for my service, I submitted my passport on time, albeit through a cheaper service than the FedEx they offered, they1. did not inform me they had received my package nor emailed instructions at any point2. did not reply to any of my emails (they owed it due to security reasons, despite it have being delivered a week earlier).3. sent it back a week later without reading my emailed instructions, using a different courier service than the one I requested (the tracking number for their service was provided during the appointment). I discovered it had been mailed back yesterday after driving 3 hours from Calgary.

I am frankly surprised to see such low reviews and dreaded doing bio-metrics and submitting our passports for UK standard visa. However since we live in Calgary, Edmonton was the only viable option and we decided to still submit passports here despite such low reviews and I am so glad we did!! We received our passports within 6 business days. Did bio-metrics on 6th Feb 2023, got passports mailed back to our address on Feb 15th 2023.Customer service was immaculate! Security guard ( female) was very pleasant and the woman who did our biometrics was friendly and didn't push to buy any extra services. Both my husband and I did our appointment in about 15 minutes and was out the door.Some things to keep in mind, make sure to upload all the documents beforehand as soon as you book your appointment online and finally taking a print out of the updated appointment checklist and document checklist before you go. If all the documents are in order and done from before, your appointment will go smoothly. Also VFS cannot alter any decision, they are just middle man transferring your documents from Canada to the UK. You have to give clear justifications and possible documents to get your UK visa.Overall, so happy with the service and because I got the visa stamped back with my passport in such a short time, I decided to write a detailed review for future applicants.Happy travels xx

Great customer service, and streamlines process. A lot of the negative reviews are a bit misplaced as VFS centres have no direct say in how long it takes the UK Immigration to respond to your visa. If it takes longer than their projections it is not their fault, it is the UK Immigrations fault. I did my biometrics for a Youth Mobility visa and was in/out within 15-20 minutes. As an added bonus I was given a free sim card for the UK that will give me free 3gb of data, and one month of calls/texts. Wasn't pushed to get any additional services or anything like that. Great experience and I hope to get my visa soon! :)
