Can’t say enough good things about this Company. Ordered a surfboard and board bag from Ontario and shipping was so fast almost same week. The prices are also very good and the customer service very helpful. Awesome shop!

We rented a board that was in extremely bad condition, we used it for two hours and the nose cracked open, We brought it back imediately and upon doing so noticed the entire front of the board and foam were rotting throughout and the metal holding the board together was already rusted through to the exterior of the board and looked as though was already fixed prior, we didnt think this was going to be an issue for us as it was obvious it had nothing to do with our use and was just the timing through prior use that the board expired and the unfortunate part is we trusted the people providing the boards and gear initially to not give us a broken board. Upon bringing the board back to exchange for one that wasnt broken we ended up being gaslighted by the staff blaming us for damaging the board and having to pay for the damage/repair! We were shocked and dissapointed as the day was great until then.

I had a great experience buying a board and wetsuit from Kannon. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They helped me figure out the best board for me. It’s also nice that you can rent the boards they sell and I tried a couple out, and then they took the cost of the rental off the board purchase.

We did a group surfing lesson with an instructor at Kannon Beach Surf Shop today. The instructor was a nice guy but the lesson he gave us was very short and underwhelming. He only spoke with us for a few minutes before telling us to go try and surf some waves. This was compared to the other surf groups we saw along the beach who were practicing popping up to standing position on their boards while on the beach. We felt as though we received very little instruction about how to surf properly and this made learning very difficult.

These guys are absolutely awesome! Bought my first ever board from them and never looked back. They are always helpful regardless of your skill level, never condescending to newbies and consistently ready to offer some tips! I wouldn't buy from anywhere else.These guys truly are a big reason why I love surfing in Nova Scotia :)

Went in to purchase a wetsuit… honestly…. As someone looking to learn and get into the sport, really disappointed by vibes of the staff… as we were asking questions, you can just feel them smirking at each other behind our backs (and also literally see it on their face as I looked back) .. like we’re not “part of the club” just because we’re new to the sport. Discouraging and disappointing. Owner seemed like a good person though, poor staffing choice however. Seriously discouraging and didn’t want to spend my money there. Isn’t surfing all about enjoying the water, nature & good vibes…? This place gave me none of that, seriously would not recommend if you’re looking to get lessons, or a newbie looking to purchase anything, might just get looked down on.
