Stop purchasing mushrooms at Eden. they are in horrible conditions and it’s hard to tell from the outside. What’s worse, the owner refused to refund because I didn’t ask for receipt initially (for environmental friendly reason). And the owner made 0 attempt identifying the order from their system. They just told me it’s not possible to refund even though it was apparently their fault for not controlling the quality of the veggies.

Good selection of over-priced vegetables and fruits and a generous amount of bad customer service, starting with the Korean owners who have no finesse nor basic manners in dealing with the customers; unfortunately the bad attitude trickles down to the non-Korean employees at the cash register. Just so you know, you can get good fruits and veggies for less at Metro (and collect points) or at the little market in the middle of the block without the attitude.

They do NOT play around with the foodThe onigiri, the seaweed saladAnd even the portioned mango is by far the best I’ve had in town, perfectly ripe, sweet and sourI would never expect such good treats from a local grocery store at those amazing prices

It's a nice store with a good selection of products. Many of the items are more expensive than you'll find elsewhere though. However for me the best part of the store is the fresh fruit and vegetables section in the back. It's all really good quality at reasonable prices.

This store has some great products, but their selection is very confusing. I go there mostly for the plant-based products, which they seem to be attempting to specialize in. They have a nice frozen selection of vegan alternatives, but then on the flip side they have no vegan cheeses or ready made meals whatsoever. They have chicken strips and frozen dinners, but then no basic stuff like a vegan cheese pizza. The issue is that most of what they do sell is available at three other stores on the same street for a cheaper price, so when I go here I'm looking for products that I can't get anywhere else - a nice wheel of cashew brie cheese, a quick ready-made lunch, vegan ricotta, and so on, and they don't have any of that. I've suggested products numerous times since they specifically ask you, but that doesn't really work - they tell you they'll try to order it, but not a single product or type of product I've suggested has ever made it onto the shelf, even though places like IGA are able to get them.Apart from that, they have some things like fried tofu, fresh ramen, and hard to find produce like cactus fruit, which I frequently buy there. Unfortunately, a lot of the products aren't well labelled, so it's hard to figure out what you're buying.A big issue with Marche Eden is that they insist that you leave your bag at the entrance, which is an absolute no-go. They don't seem to see why I don't want to leave a backpack with electronics in it that would cost >$1000 to replace just sitting there, and they treat you like garbage and refuse you entry when you explain why you'd prefer to keep it. One time they suggested I take all of the stuff out, including a laptop and everything, and carry it around the store with me. Easy peasy, right? So when I go there and they ask me to leave my bag, I just refuse to shop there and go to one of the other stores in the area instead, and try again next time. I'm not interested in having to reason with a bunch of employees for the privilege of being allowed to shop at their store. I just don't have time for that.
