Went here for a pedicure + acrylics. They did an amazing job; very clean and efficient. They also did ombré nails which a lot of salons in Toronto don’t offer. Very happy with the shape and quality of my acrylics!

I hate to write this as the people who work there are lovely. I unfortunately got nail fungus from here in November 2022 and couldn’t get my nails done for 6 months until recently. I originally told the owner about the fungus as soon as it started appearing on my nail and we had a conversation in their back area. I clearly said I want to go back once the nail regrew but expect at minimum a free manicure when I come back and he said “ok, yes no problem”. I booked an appointment recently as my nail finally grew back thinking I’d get it complimentary(they even remembered me on the phone). At the end of my session, I asked to tip on the machine but then was charged the full set.. I asked plainly “this was supposed to be free since I got nail fungus last year and it was a huge inconvenience” (my 30th bday, company holiday party, trip to Miami, and whole holiday period I had an ugly yellow nail bed and then the whole nail fell off). the owner responded by saying “no.. who said that?”. I said “you.. in the back area over there” He replied “I would never say that”. I was in disbelief that he could look me straight in the eye and lie. They’re lucky I was discreet about the whole thing but I regret it til this day because I was completely taken advantage of and lied to. Safe to say I’ll never go back and just beware if you choose to go here. QNails on King have been a great new spot!

I’ve been on the hunt for the PERFECT nail spot in the city place area and I’m so excited to have found THE ONE. 550 Nail Bar is nothing short of the best.The prices 10/10: the prices are reasonable, especially for downtown rates. I pay the same amount as I did outside the city.The nails 10/10: the quality of these nails are immaculate. I’ve never gone a month without breaking or damaging fake nails, until I discovered this place. The techs are great with different designs and they will work with you until you’re fully satisfied.The staff: 10/10 I’m a strong believer in supporting businesses filled with people that share strong values. The staff are professional, kind, and extremely organized. Ken is my go-to tech and he is amazing!

After seeing all the positive reviews online I decided to come here. 550 nail bar went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my nails! I have never experienced such great service at a nail salon. They were professional, efficient and the space was very clean.

Fast and always easy to get an appointment (although they do take walk-ins). Lots of color selection and the manis seem to last quite a while!

This is my go-to nail bar! I've tried a few out around the city and this unassuming salon beats them all out.Pricing is typical. Staff are sweet and attentive. Salon has ALWAYS been immaculate (even pre-covid). Quality products used.They're happy to do standard nails and intricate designs.

While this salon (usually) does a good job, they have absolutely no respect for their customers or their time. Why do they take appointments? Beats me.Every single time I’ve gone, I’ve made an appointment. And every single time, without fail, they’ll sit me down AT LEAST half an hour after my appointment is supposed to start. If it was an occasional thing, it would be understandable. The fact that this has happened every time I visit (at least 10 visits) means that they are aware of this, and they don’t care. They could easily just cut down on the number of people they schedule at once. In addition, they will frequently seat walk ins before clients with appointments. All they are focused on is booking in the most people, so they can make the most profit. Incredibly disrespectful business practice.

Ken and Kelly are the dream team! Ken has been doing my nails for the past couple of months and I have not once been disappointed! Very excited he just opened his own salon with his wife. I usually go for the bio and shellac fake nails and prefer them long so getting the shape (coffin) extra perfect is always a pet peeve of mine but I know I never have to worry with Ken. He knows exactly how I like my nails. Kelly had recently done my shellac pedicure and she helped me with the crystal design I was unsure about but it turned out perfect. I really do recommend this salon!

Best nail salon in the city!The technicians are incredibly skilled, professional and efficient. This is the only place I will go to for any designs. Some of my favourites sets I've ever had were done by Ken!The shaping and application are perfect. Top quality products are used. Colour selection is 10/10. My nails always last for weeks with no chips.I never have to worry or check my nails as they're getting done because I know they will turn out perfect every time. Love this place!

I have had some bad experiences in the past with nail salons, but I am happy to say that I have finally found my go-to spot. Kelly and Ken, the owners, go above and beyond to provide exceptional service and truly care about the health and well-being of their clients' nails.Kelly and Ken are simply amazing. This past week, after going on vacation and being at the beach and in the pool, I began to have issues with one of my nails. 550 made sure to fit me in immediately to fix the problem. Kelly and Ken took the time to educate me on my nail health and give me tips on how to continue to maintain the health of my nails.When it comes to design ideas, Kelly and Ken are always willing to listen to what I want and provide expert advice on how to achieve the best results. They are meticulous in their work and always do an amazing job. I have been coming to this salon for a while now and have always been happy with the end result. They are able to do any design I want and make sure that it is executed perfectly.I feel like they truly care about me as a customer, and that's something you don't find often these days. It's clear that Kelly and Ken take pride in their work and the salon they have built.I highly recommend 550 to anyone looking for a professional and caring nail experience. The owners are truly amazing and go out of their way to take care of their customers like family. I'm so glad to have found them and will definitely be a loyal customer for years to come.
