I would like to thank Me Romano of Kalman Samuels Q.C. & Associates for his support during my difficult divorce. From the beginning, Me Romano explained to me the process and my rights and responsibilities very professionally, clearly, and patiently. In addition he followed up with me regularly to see how I was doing even though I could not be a client due to a conflict of interest.At first, I chose my legal counsel independently through another friend. When I needed additional help and a referral because my independently chosen lawyer made some major mistakes in my file, Me Romano again explained to me how the system works, what his opinion is about my position and referred me to a lawyer trained by his firm and under his supervision. Fortunately for me, my new lawyer was indeed very well trained, knowledgeable and immaculate in the preparation of my file which had been in a very sorry state upon arrival from the old lawyer’s office. I finally had a very fair outcome to my case--which was settled out of court avoiding a great deal of stress and anguish.I feel that without the help of Me Romano, I would have been at a loss and at the mercy of someone who did not know how to do their job. It was a nightmare. They kept changing the attorney, costing me extra every time to review my file. The only good attorney was Justine and she quit during she was working on my case. I had to fire them and hire another firme become they kept charging me ridiculous high fee and very poor performance. If you want your case to stall many years and pay thousands of dollars, this is the firm for you. Very disappointed and frustrated.

I initially reviewed this firm as five stars because after my first consultation, I was under the impression that I was in good hands, and that I could depend on Mr. Romano. I followed his advice and prepared what was required for my case. When I finally assembled everything, I booked an appointment for a Tuesday with about a week's delay. On Tuesday morning I received a call notifying me that it was cancelled, and another appointment was arranged for the upcoming Thursday. When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist went to supposedly tell Mr. Romano that I was present. After a while she came back to to tell me that he was sick? It is amazing that it took her so long to only tell me that he was unavailable? Didn't she know that Mr. Romano wasn't there when I first came in? I asked why I wasn't made aware and not to come when another secretary rudely told me told me that she sent me an e-mail regarding the supposed cancellation. I told her I checked my e-mails and there was no notification of a cancellation to which she responded that it went into my spam e-mails. When I arrived home, I checked my spam and there was no e-mail? What a disappointment, I never expected that!!

I have to write something, and I’m doing this mainly as a thank you.We are three years into this divorce already. This is a very contentious case involving a lot of money and spanning three countries and touching on every aspect of separation of assets, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, family patrimony, and a lot of diverse assets and we cannot agree on anything at all. I started out with another attorney who was very good, but as things got more intense, she felt it was better to recommend this to true specialists and sent to my current firm. I liked her and did not really want to switch, but she insisted. My new firm, this one, Kalman Samuels, is smaller but charged the same amounts; Within just a few weeks I understood why my former attorney recommended that I switch. These guys are really specialized & know what they are doing and are very good at it.Each and every time my ex wife drags us back to court, we win, without exception. Then, just when her lawyers have a better understanding of what is really going on and begin to cooperate and tell her to stop acting crazy, she gets angry, changes lawyers, changes tactics, does something stupid forcing us to go to court and we win again, then we negotiate hard with the new lawyer who has a better understanding of what he is dealing with, my wife fires the lawyer, hires another one and repeats the cycle, over and over again.She is now on her sixth lawyer and my attorneys worry that he might be on his way out too very soon.Just last month we received a procedure with only two day’s notice. This is not legal! My attorneys really scrambled to respond. Rather than asking for a postponement, which they could have, they put all their energy into preparing and pleading a powerful response with only two days of preparation. They said it would be cheaper this way than going twice. Also, it would show how unreasonable she was. The opposing attorney must have been expecting a request for postponement because even though it was his own motion, he was caught surprised and ended up not being ready for court when my attorneys showed up ready to fight. Brilliant!!!We won again, 100%.They did well all the other times before, but this time I was especially impressed. The case was very well handled. Essentially, their complete victory saves me (and my kids) from major financial headaches and possibly a big change in lifestyle. This is why I’m posting this now. The last hearing cost me financially, again, but all the work they did will pay for itself in three month’s time because the judge rejected the crazy things she was asking for and simply did not believe all the retarded allegations she started making, suddenly and out of nowhere. If my attorneys read this, they will know who I am and which attorneys I am talking about. And that’s O.K., because they put a lot into this and I think they deserve a little bit more than just their fees. So here it is: “Thank you!”

I am so grateful to work as an internship at this law firm. It was really for short term, but this work experience is definitely precious for me. All of them are very professional and responsible. I've learned so many things there and I'm sure it helps me develop my future career.
