Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop

I went in to get a normal fade last January and was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the results. The barber did not spend the time to listen to the cut I wanted to get. The haircut was near closing time so the barber was rushing to finish my cut as quick as he could. I told the barber 5 times and showed him images of the haircut that I did not want a skin fade but I wanted a normal fade. I ended up spending 40 dollars on a haircut and did not receive any refund. I do not think it was fair that I had to pay for a service that was different then what I had asked for. The customer service email never got back to me since January. I should have been granted a refund after this horrible experience. The photo on the left is what I received and the one on the right is what I asked for multiple times while showing the image to the barber.

I bought an expensive shaving kit about 2.5 months ago. While shaving this morning the brush fell apart. The bristles all fell out of the handle. I thought they would surely exchange it as I'd spent $100 on this set. They refused to stand behind their product. I will never shop there again.

I had mixed feelings about this place. The experience was on point, but the cut was not. The barber who cut my hair was very new and did not do a great job. It's a nice shop, and having the wash at the end is also a nice touch. That said, those experiences need to compliment an outstanding haircut, and the cut was just ok.They're charging pro prices and using novice barbers.

I have been a customer since 2015 and I have to say that the quality is consistently going down hill. The management fails to keep the talents with them and is stooping so low to the point that they are hiring whoever to cut people’s hair. I really miss the Belgian lady who gave me an amazing haircut despite the language barrier. My last haircut with them was with a local girl. Despite her decent demeanor and service, she fell short on her hair cutting skill. I asked for a skin fade and what I got was very far from it. I asked to keep 3 inches on the top and we both agreed to trim off about an inch with her showing me how much to be cut off, but she ended up cutting more than what was agreed upon. I was trying to be easy-going and flexible as I perceived that she might have had a tough day. She spent 3-5 minutes finding the right comb, which was hidden in plain sight, and apologized to me multiple times. I was very patient and cool about it. Any way, she kept flipping my back and forth and keep trimming them to the point that they become like a lawn mowed by a reluctant middleschooler. The sides were not well-blended, given that I asked for a skin fade I expected a proper fade. There’s no fading on my head; the only thing that’s my fading is my self confidence and loyalty for this place. What I ended up with was something that looks like a sloppy buzz cut for the price of $35. Heck, I am willing to pay more for a skilled hair stylist or barber. Even a $20 haircut in Vancouver was much better than what I got now. Most of all, she never asked me at the end whether I am satisfied with the cut. All good barbers always do this at the end, right?Any way, it’s up to the management to figure out their QA/QC. Whatever the girl might need, they have to give her support and all mentorship as necessary. Good workers are hard to come by, so they should find a way to retain and nurture those talents.I will never come back to this place again. I have other talented barbers and hair stylists to support.

Walked away with razor burn and a cut that’s two inches lower on one side. I’m a fairly easy going person but the one instruction I gave was make it look good. I was promised a fade and ended up with awkward tracks on the back. It’ll grow back but I’m stuck with this for a month or two given how short it ended up.

Isn’t there and opción for zero stars ?….I took my husband there because they told us it was an amazing experience … but this lady didn’t even make a good effort to address the haircut… I don’t know her name but she was kind of scare and insecure using the Hair Thinning scissors… however if I was reviewing the front desk service I’ll say 5….

The service was excellent! My stylist was very kind and asked my opinions on length, style and product throughout the cut. Would highly recommend! (A drink comes with any hair cut too)

Having Olga as my barber, she is by far the best Barber I've had at Tommy Guns. I would highly recommend her for a cut as she is friendly, kind, considerate, and even when washing your hair, she massages the hair in a way that doesn't feel like your hair is being pulled out. She did an amazing job, the only little disappointment is that they don't store your hair cut profile, as I will be sure to return to have her cut my hair again.

Had a new stylist Akram. He was amazing! Gave me a new hair cut I never would have thought of getting, but I trusted and it was the best choice cus I love my new style of hair. Don't get rid of this guy I need him when I come back next time.Thanks Akram

Despite being short handed; staff (especially the woman at the front desk) worked really hard to make sure clients were taken care of and that people both there in person, checking in on the app, and got their haircut at the times they told us - which isn’t easy when you’re down two stylists!She called me and had me come to the store ten minutes ahead of getting in, and I got in, got a great haircut and staff maintained a great attitude the whole time too.
