Shorebird Expeditions
Absolutely great service. They were on time and friendly for both drop off and pick up. Clearly a lot of care and attention goes in to the trip. We were dropped off right at the rocks so we didn’t have to wade through water to start our trip at Tongue Point, and we were loaded up and heading out on the dot when we exited the trail in Yoquot.If you want a smooth ride with a great driver, this is the way to go! Definitely contact them if you’re doing the Nootka Trail and staging in Tahsis.Thanks for both a great start and a great finish to our trip!

We booked with Shorebird for drop off and pickup when we hiked the Nootka Trail this week. They were really great, they slowed the boat down for us to see a whale and sea otters on the way over and a bear on the way back. What a great service to the most amazing place. You will see us again!

We used Shorebird Expeditions for our recent trip to Nootka Island. Sarah was a pleasure to work with to help book our ride, and gave us many useful tips about the hike itself. Conrad, our driver, was punctual, friendly, and pointed out a bear and raft of otters during our boat ride!

Fantastic!! I was travelling the Tree to Sea loop by bike and booked Shorebird expeditions for a water taxi from Tahsis to Zaballos. Sarah was really nice to work with and was super flexible. Especially given that arrive times by bike can vary, she was super accommodating. The boat driver Konrad was such a pleasure to chat with and get to know!Highly recommend.

Sarah was amazing to deal with and very accommodating to change last minute times and date as we finished the hike a day early. Cameron was our driver and he was friendly and we felt very safe with him on the water☀️

Sara is very professional and communicates effectively! Very accountable and we have used this company for many years and they have always been there for us!Harvey was an excellent captain, arriving according to the plan and even helped us with gear! Very in tuned with number of campers and accommodated by dropping us off in a slightly different place. Totally trust this guy with our lives out on the open coast! I can highly recommend Shorebird Expeditions for their water taxi service. I used their service to get my hiking group to and from the Nootka Island trail for an amazing one week adventure in the wilderness. Sarah was a wealth of information, friendly, and patient. Both our drivers were friendly and kind. The ride to and from our trail heads were spectacular. I hope to use their service again for a kayak adventure. Thank you Shorebird for making our time with the wolves possible.

Sarah was super attentive and pleasant to deal with. The boat was roomy for 4 adults and 4 bikes off on bikepacking trip for Sea to Tree route from Tahsis to Zeballos. A highlight of the trip. Highly recommended.

So glad we chose Shorebird to take us out to the Nootka Trail. Sarah was so helpful to book with and gave us updates on road and weather conditions. Chris dropped us off and picked us up and was awesome. He took us closer to see bears and otters on the way and took a few photos for us too. Would be worth it to come just for the boat ride!
