Nalu Retreat & Nordic Spa

I was just looking for a place to go celebrate 20 years of marriage with my wife, and I am so glad that we chose here. Because we have never been before everything was new, but WOW.From that moment you step on to the deck you feel like you have stepped into a spa like getaway. The outdoor bean bag chair, the Adirondack chairs around the fire place, the hot tub…Then you step into the dome and, whether you go left or right doesn’t matter, because it is beautiful.Very homey feeling and yet luxurious and, most importantly, relaxing.We loved the HUGE floor-to-ceiling window in the front that overlooks the forest and captures the water. There is SO MUCH wildlife activity (various types of birds, and a few chipmunks and squirrels…and a couple of hummingbirds) that happen right outside.One of my favorite places to visit in the dome was the loft. Although it wasn’t super easy to climb with a coffee in one hand and book in the other, I still found myself there multiple times a day, cozied into the enormous and fluffy bean bag type chair there. My wife and I hung out in it several times together just enjoying the peace and tranquility.We did get couples massages as well and the young lady was ABSOLUTELY top shelf. Very professional, accommodating, and friendly.Interestingly the staff was no where to be seen (except for when she welcomed us and showed us around when we arrived) BUT they were RIGHT THERE when we reached out. Like SUPER fast, professional, polite, friendly…seriously awesome.It was such a great stay, and we are looking forward to the next time already.Thanks Nalu and team!

I recently visited Nalu Retreat with my partner and had an amazing personalized experience. We were able to recharge in such a beautiful and peaceful environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the vegan food options were top-notch. I was impressed by the quality and variety of the food. Overall, I highly recommend Nalu Retreat for anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.

We enjoyed our experience at Nalu - everything was carefully considered, well appointed and so peaceful. Being nestled in wildlife while having your own privacy was so calming. The staff are incredibly attentive and proud of this space. This really wouldn't be appropriate for families or partiers - it's really geared towards quiet couples.

Every detail of our dome at Nalu Retreat was comfortable, luxurious, well thought out and beautiful. From the Canadian bath and hair products, to the Turkish towels and the well planned kitchen and perfect hot tub for two, our three days were perfect. Watching the snow fall was as beautiful as seeing the sun shining on the lake. And my hot stone massage right in our dome was a great way to start off our vacation. We can’t wait to return!

We had the most amazing stay at nalu retreat. We loved the quiet and peacefulness of the environment. The accommodations were very high-end and welcoming. Dome #1 was extremely comfortable and cozy. It really did include everything you need for a very tranquil stay to get awayfrom the noise of the city. We enjoyed the hot tub a few times, the hot and cold shower outside and a lovely walk. From seeing a shooting star and an eagle through the loft skylight. And the planes flying overhead( we couldn't hear them) but we definitely enjoyed watching them, and stargazing too! Definitely would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for some peace and calmness. Great job Nalu Retreat. We will be back! Peace and love, The lussier's

My wife and I ventured to Nalu from Burlington, ON for her 40th birthday and we couldn't have been happier with the trip and the stay! Not only was the location amazing, and the dome idea unique, but the attention to detail was out of this world! The bedding, the robes, the fireplace, the design, the soaps, etc. Every minor detail was accounted for and it appeared that no expense was spared and no corners were cut. The emphasis on supporting local businesses and environmental sustainability was evident throughout. Great recommendation on the Crowbar Trail Hike too! All in all, it made for a great long weekend reboot and I would definitely recommend it! Thanks Paul, Sandy, & Heather!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nalu. The dome is modern, cozy and comfortable, with an incredible view! The hot tub was the perfect way to end our day. The farm to table dinner was delicious. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We will certainly be back.

My partner and I spent 2 nights in dome 2 over looking Porters Lake. What a magnificent place. The domes are equipped with everything you need and are very well laid out. The hot tub on the deck was aMuch needed bonus and the cold shower was fantastic as well. This is a magnificent place to go and shut everything off which is what we wanted to do.We had an incredible massage on day 2 which was very much needed.Overall Paul was an incredible host and this place really quite incredible and we cannot wait for our next visit backKevin & HeatherGV, NS

We love this place so much, decided to stay one more night immediately. It’s a wonderful place to have a peace of mind. Sandy is very friendly, help us to get everything we need. And the dome had been already set up thoughtfully before we checked in, nice and cozy! Only one advice I will give people is preparing enough food (or order food from Nula in advance) for your stay, you don’t wanna leave this beautiful dome to go out and buy food.

It's hard to put into words how incredible our stay was. From the scenic drive to the location to the incredible view from our dome, it was perfect. I do wish we had stayed an extra night just to enjoy things a little longer. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the bed was ultra comfy, the beanbag chair in the loft is incredible for snuggling in to watch the stars. I surprised my partner with the tranquility package and it was worth every moment. Kelsie was fantastic and an absolute professional who echoed the calmness and energy of the dome. We will be back for sure! Amazing!
