We completed our backyard last summer with help from Townsend Lumber, specifically Daryl who is the manager. We built a 16x24 party sized pavilion, a 10x11 pergola, and a 14ft shade arbor/hammock. We built all our structures using the Simpson Strong Tie products. Daryl was beyond amazing, he took his time and helped my husband and I, guiding us through every step of the way throughout our project (drawings, getting the specs ready for the the city and engineer, questions related to the structures, etc). Daryl answered all my emails and phone calls on time.....there were countless of emails. We built all our structures using B.C Douglas Fir. The wood is absolutely beautiful and the price of it along with the Strong Tie hardware from Townsend was undeniably cheaper that any of the Lumber places we visited. After our project was completed we ended up contacting Daryl to purchase more wood to build a harvest table for outside. I would recommend Townsend Lumber to anyone who is looking to purchase wood for various products. Thank you Daryl and Townsend Lumber for everything!

The flooring we got was not milled correctly. They are off by more than a mm. Company will do nothing about it and keep saying wait to acclimatize. With no timeline. Indefinite waiting for this is not realistic and insane.

Great service Gary and Daryl great to work with and helped a ton with the design and lumber for my pavilion/ gazebo for my backyard. Highly recommend Townsend Lumber as there prices are great and there customer service is even better!

Superb interaction with everyone involved. From picking lumber, invoicing to delivery all went flawlessly. Was a little sceptical at first about not being present nor knowing the quality of lumber and flooring being picked and delivered but all has been communicated well from admin to warehouse.

Service is fair at pick up. Warehouse not climate controlled though.Installed flooring from here on a stair landing, and 2 months later it had up to 1/16” gaps.Yes, I brought it back and they had a list of other possible causes" and no refund for the low quality material."

Amazing place, warehouse filled to the rafters with kiln dried wood.Staff are great, & more than happy to help you find what you are looking for!

Can't say their products are good or not. Nobody responds to email or answers the phone. Guess I'll hit the big box store instead.

After a horrible experience buying rough lumber in London for woodworking - I decided to hop on the 401 and give this place a visit. Am I ever glad I did!For the woodworker - this place is paradise. All native local species, kiln dried, sustainability harvested. Most importantly though, the staff treat you with respect and are very helpful. I only bought a small amount on my first visit (just finishing up a project) - but they treated me like I was buying 500 board feet. I will always go here for all my lumber going forward.If you're a woodworker - do yourself a favour and visit this place.

They have great customer service and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
