H&R Block

Whenever I go to the Lacewood Drive H&R Block I am always greeted with a smile . My wait time is never long and my tax preparer knows my situation very well. My return gets done very quickly.

I've been using H&R Block for 20yrs usually I go to the Tacoma Dr location but choose here as it's in walking distance to where I live. The resepsanist didn't even want to help me or direct me to another location. Very unwelcoming experience

I want to start by saying that the issues we encountered had nothing to do with our personal tax rep. She was great and we continuously go back to her since she does a great job with our taxes. My review is based on our experience with other workers. We went in on the weekend to pick up our taxes and sign papers. We had our three month old baby with us who was very cranky and crying. A woman with a blond bob came by our cubicle saying “the baby is hungry, come on mom feed him.” Another woman came by and despite her good intentions to calm our baby reached out and touched him on the face without permission. Mothers are already faced with a lot of unsolicited advice by strangers and the last thing I needed was added stress while filing my taxes. Baby or no baby, taxes are a responsibility that I have every year and need to get them done. I sincerely hope the women who worked on Saturday get spoken to so no other mother is treated like I was. No mother needs the extra stress.

Called into Lacewood H&R block to find out if you can claim orthodontist/dental work on income tax and she said “yes.” I asked, do you know what tax category that falls under? She said “are you doing your own taxes?” And I said yes. She said I can not help you. I said “oh you can’t help answer a question unless I pay.” She said “yes, you need to pay or I will not help you”.Point of this review is that nobody today can help a person unless there is money in her hand. It’s a simple question and it takes 10 seconds of her time to help and she didn’t care too.

Went there in the morning today to book an appointment for my taxes. The receptionist was neither interested, she handed be a form and said collect all documents and then book an appointment, then i asked one question and she replied “you will get everything on CRA” If i knew that i will get every details pvee there then whats the point to come to you guys. Sorry not going there again.

Went to Lacewood location. Good first impression. The receptionist was kind and helpful then she gave me a form to complete with my file. Ugh! The form was a poorly photocopied copy of a poor photocopy. The second page was photocopied crooked with a vertical line down the middle of the page. I did not use H and R. If they don’t pay attention to details like a more professional Intake Form, then they may not pay attention to details of a tax return. Sorry.

As a first time tax filer ever after coming to Canada, I thought to file my tax with H&R Block will be the best but after going to this branch I had a very terrible experience, the staff and the tax return expert who did my taxes didn't know how to do her job.My address was miss-spelled even after filing in the form with neat handwriting still she couldn't get my address right on the tax return file.I had a few questions which I didn't get any answers and said you should ask this questions to your employer and not me"Would never recommend anyone to go H&R Block especially this branch.I would watch how to do it online and do it. Even if you are a first time filer

It's simple, don't go here if you value your time. Had an appointment for 7, they didn't get me in until 8:15. The receptionist was pretty rude from the start and wouldn't even look at anyone.The actual representative didn't understand how to enter a t4a into the system, constantly kept leaving just to come back and wouldn't answer ant questions. They rushed us out the door to close fast.Just go to a different branch or anywhere else

First and last time at H&R Block. Made an appointment for which I turned up on time. Upon arrival, was greeted by a receptionist that wasn't neither friendly nor courteous. Seemed like it was a bore to be there. She told us to get a seat and we would be seen to soon.In total we waited for 45 minutes with no information or any interaction from any employee. In the time we waited, three people arrived, who were promptly seen by an advisor. One was told to wait some more, but a couple were taken into a cubicle to be dealt with.We were never advised of any delays, nor offered any information, or water or coffee for waiting. 45 minutes is enough, so we got up and advised to cancel our appointment as we were leaving, to which we were told Oh I think she'll be free soon". No

I would never visit this branch again. Very disappointing experience. The tax filing expert who did my taxes didn't seem quite happy answering my questions. If you are a first time tax filer, please avoid going to this branch because the chances of the tax filing expert making faces at your questions as a first time tax filer are very very high. Impatient staff.
