I love this place! I’ve been coming to Vince’s classes off and on since June 2022, and have loved every second of each session! It’s truly a welcoming atmosphere, and the vibes and energy is always so positive. I recommend this gym to all Muay Thai members!

Been coming for a couple of months now, and Vincent and his Muay Thai classes have helped build up my core strength (and strength overall). He is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. His classes will make every newbie (like myself) go from 0-knowledge to feeling comfortable in no time.

A great place to train, offering different skill levels beginner to advanced and age groups. If you are interested in physical fitness, training with friends/ family, becoming fight ready, or participating in a tournament, or just curious of what Muay Thai/ Yoga are, Vince/ Nana/ team can take you towards your next step. My kids and I are members of this terrific community, highly recommend!

Vince and Nana are the best! Very friendly and encouraging environment. Great for beginners and those with experience. Amazing workout and you have a lot of fun while you’re at it. After trying the free trial, I couldn’t resist signing up!

I just started with 9 Spears last week (after 10 years of Kung Fu) and immediately saw the professionalism, dedication to the sport and welcoming learning environment that 9 Spears provides. The classes are intense and meaningful - all conditioning and sparring techniques teach the art of Muay Thai under the watchful eye of Vincent who spends the entire class leading, teaching and walking around ensuring we are striving for perfection. The class is super welcoming and friendly. I am so happy I found 9 Spears to continue my love of martial arts.

Super friendly gym with great instructors and attendees that make you feel welcome. Regardless of your level of Muay Thai experience or if you are there just for the workout, Vince will do his best to cater the class to all.

10/5 Vince and Nana are absolutely amazing, as well as all the other instructors at 9 spears!! The classes have a super positive and welcoming environment which is greatly reflected in the community. I started at this gym as a beginner with almost no knowledge of Muay Thai, but have quickly grown to love the sport. Vince made sure to go over the basics 1:1 and gives lots of attention to the students. Don’t hesitate, and give it a try!!

I've been here since Nov. last year and realized I never made a review lool. Vince and Nana created, and continue to create, a positive environment for everyone wanting to learn Muay Thai. They're patient, encouraging, and are genuinely invested in their students success making it a great place for all skill levels, from beginner to seasoned martial artists. The gym is clean and well maintained, and same goes for the equipment. The classes are well structured and will for sure make you sweat. I know it can be intimidating starting a new martial art or at a new gym, but at 9 Spears you'll be greeted with open arms the moment you walk in (open arms not for clinching LOL). Grateful I was able to find this amazing community! :))

I was interested in joining a yoga studio and found 9 Spears during my search for studios in Richmond Hill. When I saw that they were a Muay Thai studio that also hosted yoga classes, I was interested in exploring the kickboxing option as well even though I had no experience with it. My first Thai kickboxing session was excellent! As a newbie, I was worried that I wouldn’t fit in but Nana and Vincent were so welcoming and helped me feel comfortable during my first session. Nana was partnered with me for my first session and she helped guide me through the moves and teach me the proper stance and technique. Muay Thai is such a great workout - I didn’t expect to feel such sore muscles the next day. Steve, who was the instructor during my first session, is very experienced and clear with instructions. He demos each movement and ensures the class understands before we do it ourselves. A huge bonus is that he brings his amazing dog, Solo, to the class and as a dog-lover myself, I was sold immediately on this studio after getting some cuddles and play time with Solo. The yoga sessions hosted by Nana are wonderful and such a great compliment to the kickboxing classes. I’m so happy I found this studio and the exhilarating world of Muay Thai. I’m still a newbie but I know 9 Spears will help me train to be a lean, mean fighting machine!

Amazing classes! I’ve had about 6 Muay Thai classes and both instructors (Vincent and Steve) have been attentive and amazing! Classes for all levels. I started as a beginner.Bonus if you love dogs. Steve has an adorable dog that shows up on Fridays as far as I know!
