I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life, never have I had such an enjoyable eye glasses shopping experience. Great experience at New Trend Optical, the owner and knowledgeable staff; Jim and Ryan were experts in the field of eye wear and very pleasant to deal with.My story: There was a knick in the paint of my newly ordered and made glasses, literally like a dot like this . Mentioned to the staff, and without asking the owner said, “we’ll order and make you new ones” honestly I was ok fixing with a blue marker but Jim said that’s not what you ordered.Thank you Ryan for your being patient, and pleasant to deal with. Thank you Jim for making me feel like a valued ViP customer. Will definitely be back after benefits renew! Lol

I got my new glasses (at a different place) a few months ago and could not wear them without feeling dizzy and getting an instant headache. I took the glasses to a few different opticians, but no one could find the problem; some places didn't even want to look at them since I wasn't their client. I was feeling hopeless and angry as I was about to throw my $400 glasses into the garbage.Luckily, a friendly, skilled and knowledgeable New Trend Optical team was able to help me in 15 min! They checked my glasses thoroughly, made some adjustments and the problem was solved!Such a great experience! I was not their client before, but definitely will be in the future.

Super happy we went and did our purchase here...knowledgeable, personable and willing to go the extra mile. Glad we supported local and not a corporate big box chain. Its a must visit if in need of new eye glasses.

I somehow happened upon New Trend a few months ago and Jim did a pair of progressive lenses for me.. They are the fourth pair of progressive lenses I have a purchased and I can see better with these glasses than any other progressives I’ve owned. I was so pleased, I got Jim to replace the lenses I’d purchased elsewhere in another pair of glasses. I don’t know if it’s the lenses or Jim’s expertise but these glasses were less expensive and far better. I’d also like to thank Jim for his help with my recent Maui Jim sunglasses. They ended up at the bottom of the ocean and Jim went out of his way to help me get a replacement pair. Shout out to Ryan as well for his help at various times. I should add that I don’t live in PoCo but it was well worth the drive. Thanks again.

I needed the nose piece replaced on my glasses as mine broke. Jim was super helpful and immediately replaced it. Very friendly, great customer service. Will be back next time I need a pair of glasses!!

Went into talk about my glasses that broke on the frame. Jim couldn't fix them and there weren't any on the rack so he took his own glasses right off his face he was wearing and put my lenses in them and gave to me! And it didn't cost me anything. Its like he gave the shirt off his back. He's a good man! Unbelievable but nice. A-ho Thanks Jim

This was one of the best Optician experiences I've had. The entire staff is helpful. Jim is so attentive, and he knows his stuff. He made an assessment based off of the way I work and live, and recommended different types of prescriptions based on it.The prices are great, and they offer free sight testing. I will definitely come back.

I went here to get my prescription glasses. They have great selection of frames and quality lenses. They do direct billing which is amazing. Overall, my transaction was smooth. Kudos to Jim and Ryan!

Today the opticians in New Trend Optical in Port Coquitlam fixed two pairs of my sunglasses free of charge!I have two pairs of almost new sunglasses that I couldn't use due to each one missing a tiny screw. Before getting another new pair, I saw the New Trend Optical office in downtown Port Coquitlam, then walked in. The opticians fixed my sunglasses right away at no charge. They are very kind!I would like to recommend New Trend Optical in Port Coquitlam.Michelle
