Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre

Listening to the guide talk about the Tidal Bore was pretty cool. Sadly, the time my wife and I chose to visit the Tidal Bore was pretty mild. Still very intriguing watching the river reverse course and fill the tributaries as the tide rapidly rose.

It was great to see what the tidal was. The power of water at it’s best. We where to early but it was worth the wait. A staffmember gave us 20 min before the tidal started extra information. That was very interesting to hear. The exposistion in the centre was also very interesting. I can recommend everyone to visit this place.

This is a must see. Find out the tide times to see this incredible event.

Great facility in a surprisingly out of the way location. Perfect for information on the Fundy Tidal Bore and tidal system. Great views here of the river. Not surprisingly, it is closed for part of the year. I was surprised to find the gates locked to the tidal area though, so they must not want people exploring when they are not there. I thought it was a public area.

Lots of parking, even for large RV's. A very knowledgeable staff, great displays, very informative. Be aware, the heights of the tidal bore is relative to the moon, as is the times of tide coming in and going out. Go to the website for the best times to go. A great viewpoint.

This is a great pit stop if you are in the area, they have a washroom and someone is there is provide you with any other places in the area that might be of interest. She had a pretty extensive list that you could likely spend part of day visiting them all.Watch out for the Wasps in the Caboose, they typically leave you alone but if you disturb them they can become aggressive.The highlight is the lookout built off the old bridge pier. We did not plan this around the tidal bore but it would be a good view for it if you are there when it passes by.It looks like there is a walking trail on the old rail line to the left of the building but we didn't check to see where it went.

Large parking lot for our Travel Trailer. The Staff were knowledgeable and Friendly. A pleasant place to stop and rest and enjoy the view.

I did not know this kind of phenomenon happened. Great to know. I hard an old proverb that even the river riverses in 12 years.... It did everyday here.

Nice place to watch the tidal bore, great and friendly staff, there is some history about the river, the ocean, as well as local ships, recommend when you visit Nova Scotia.Nice view. Great place overall.
