Very unprofessional conduct for the following reasons:The funds received after the real estate sale were less than was agreed upon and shown on the documents signed just a day prior.There was no attempt from the lawyer and his team to come forward and explain why there is a discrepancy between the signed document and the cheque received (I am not sure if this is even legal)The only explanation I received (after I asked several times) was that there were additional charges.Why and what kind fees I was charged is for them to know and me to find out.Other aspects of their business to be aware of:Final disbursement charges were almost double that the initial estimate (on a regular, no issues- transaction).Expect to be charged in excess of $450 for: photocopies (even though everything is digital), postage, fax, software, long distance calls (why?, in my case all parties were from London ON), certified check (I received a regular one) plus more

Peter and his staff hold their clients with the utmost professionalism. They are up front about costs and do no charge more then they have been advised. If you want to have quality work as well as timely work, I would recommend them to all.

Unprofessional and rude law firm. They are not upfront with their costs and play games with their charges. Expect excessively overpriced incidentals like fax, postage, and long distance charges. Peter is not a man of his word. Avoid at all costs.

Ive been dealing with Peter Quigleys law office for over 30 years with never a bad experience, actually.quite the opposite, it's always been a positive one and thats just another reason he has been my go to guy when I need legal advice. Peter is held in high esteem by his peers and his office staff, many who have worked with him for years. He produces his work in a timely manner always closing at the appointed times and he keeps his clients informed about roadblocks, pitfalls and potential issues. Peter has always tried to keep his clients costs in check and you're unlikely to find another lawyer in his field who is so reasonable when it comes to billing time. In my opinion that's why he is so busy with his never ending lineup of satisfied customers. Plus Pete's just an all around great friend and mentor for many of his clients which he never dreams of charging us for. It's just a bonus. Sort of a package deal you get from dealing with Pete. Stay away from this office. Complete rip off. I was referred to him by someone and he ripped me off too. He charged me $500 over what was signed. If you ask why then they dont respond, you have to keep calling. Finally they will just make something up like 'we had to do extra work'. Expect very high charges for things like photocopy, fax, courier (even if they didn't use some of this). They also make mistakes in documentation (gave me someone else's documents)

I became aware of the negative review posted by Mr. Gardner some time ago and decided it was long overdue to post a rebuttal. Not only did this very difficult client come to our office complaining about another lawyer's services but had nothing but praise for me initially. Very soon though he started to complain about my very capable staff whom I have always trained to act with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. He was provided timely and professional service for his straight forward matter, and at the discounted rates that we had confirmed to him up front and in writing, as is our standard practice. Our fees are competitive and reasonable, and neither I, nor my staff, were rude to this gentleman".
