Majestic Cleaners & Laundry (Gladstone & Bay)

Awful customer service. It was our first time in Ottawa and we were doing our laundry here. So many positive reviews but our experience was not great. We came in to do laundry and the male owner kept coming behind us and telling us to start the machine even though we were still loading. We told him we didnt finish and he kept rushing us like he was super anxious. There was no customers maybe 1 other person. We used up 4 machines total which was of course good money for him but he was upset that we were not loading them in fastly. We took 10-15 mins to load all 4 machines which is not long at all. We had coins but once he saw our bills, he rushed us to come to him to exchange them for coins. We kept saying we had coins but he kept pushing us to exchange. We put the load in for about 30 mins and came back 40 mins later. Our stuff was in carts out for us and he was very upset that we didnt come 10 mins earlier. Our first time in Ottawa and we didnt know how bad construction was which delayed our traffic. We put our stuff in the dryer for 35 mins and was about to leave the parking lot to go to the nearby grocery store when we were reversing and the owner ran out and came to us at the car door and said to come early for the dryer. We were shocked at how paranoid this owner was. For 10 mins late and new to the city, he cannot be this paranoid and stress customers out. We felt super rushed and ran to the grocery store and came back 10 mins earlier to make sure he wont yell. He was very rude and lied to us initially, saying that the more expensive washing machines were the only ones, when there were cheaper ones in the back. He saw us moving some of the stuff into the cheaper ones and then came over and told us to quickly start the expensive machines because he knew we saw the cheaper ones. Transparency and good customer service is key which this owner did not have. Will not be returning. We have been to many laundromats and this is the first time we've had a bad experience. I understand this is a business but if you wont let customers do laundry in peace and are hungry for $$ by watching our every move, then you should not own this business.

Edit: I wanted to mention how great the owners are. My partner and I brought a ton of laundry with duvets to wash etc (lots). Well we forgot one machine to empty out. Go in the next weekend with a smaller load and the Owner saw me right away and said I have a load you forgot in the dryer. A) great memory 2) everything was perfectly folded and neatly placed in our also forgotten laundry basket. No idea why ppl say the prices are high considering these are top of the line machines, plus water usage and electricity. Again This is the best laundry mat hands down. The machines are clean actually the whole place and the signage is very clear. The owner was so patient with my questions, need of loonies and they have freezies too :) The atmosphere all around isn't tense and loud. 5 stars to the physical establishment and I can't say enough or give enough stars how great the owner is.

It's clean, unlike most laundromats. The machines work. It has staff, who are courteous and helpful. It might cost a little more than places that are horrible but it's worth it.If you can use the front-facing machines. They cost more but can do two loads at once and spin dry so fast that you save money in drying time.

I use there Fluff and Fold service, I drop off my laundry and they wAsh, fold and bag up my laundry very quickly. Often they have it done in a couple hours. I usually give them 24 hours. If your in a rush, you have a ton of laundry then come to this place. I use this service for all my heavy work gear. I’m not sure how they do it they always seem to get the ground in stains out.As far as I know they have two (2) locations this one on Gladstone and there’s one on Wellington.

Great wash and fold service. And really quick too (same-day). Makes my busy life so much easier!

I typically don't write reviews, visiting Canada from Colorado. The staff/owners are super friendly and started a conversation with us. The place is clean, the machines did their jobs and now our clothes are fresh and clean. But a great hidden gem (if you're a hockey fan) was the history of the location. Take a look at the pictures!

Terrible customer service. Understand that this is a self-service but as first timers the treatment from the owner was horrendously poor. Be well prepared for bad manners if you don’t know anything about their washers.

I have frequented this laundromat several times in the past and have never had any complaints.

I brought in clothes for dry-cleaning service, so note that I'm not reviewing their laundry machines. I brought in a vintage pleated wool skirt. They completely obliterated the pleating on it. They didn't repress them or anything. I wish their pricing for items was transparent because I feel like they make it up on the spot based on how they feel.
