RBC Royal Bank

I opened an account here a few months ago.Its been a bad experience from day one.I deposited a Western Union check from H&R block and they put a hold on it.I have called twice since Tuesday and was told both time I would get a call back from Eli the manager. He has never called and they still have my money on hold .I explained I have Bill's to pay on time and meds to pick up but still no call, and the girl reassured me today that he was calling, and that I had her word..No call. POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ALL AREAS.Especiallybwhen the manager doesn't even call back.

Fantastic service. This is the busiest RBC branch in the city and they handle the volume extremely well. The tellers are always very informative and go the extra mile for me.

The teller was very helpful and informative. His name is Anthony and he was willing to help and he stayed till the last moment with a smile. The financial advisor I met however was rather rude. She didn't lesson even to a word I was saying. She kept lecturing me about irrelevant information to my inquiry. She closed my account without my consent. I tried to get get her name but I couldn't. I am so fed up. Totally not recommended.

I'm writing this review for a particular teller as my overall experience with this branch has been lackluster, multiple messages left with no call backs, and the hours are poor for someone who like the majority of people, works until 5. I arrived 2 minutes after 5 (closing) and the teller (Sue) was seeing her last customer to the door. I asked if I could still get in as I needed to pull more money than an ATM would allow for a purchase that evening. She decided to help me and get me the money I needed. For that I am thankful. Although I've been with rbc since I started banking I am considering other solutions that will better for my needs and schedule.

They don’t help you they just tried hold your money worse bank I ever dealt with!

Very long lines, unfriendly staff. Really disappointing service.

I won't recommend going to a Clerk name Anthony. He seems pretty nice and helpful but don't think he knows what he's doing. So, I went there yesterday to get my cheque deposit and he said to me that I won't get the money right away but for 4-5 business because he said that the cheque I have from Moneygram (Canada Post) wasn't recognizable and I only have a $100 right away money when depositing a cheque. I had so many cheques deposited before and never got a problem with it and got the moneyrightnaway. Today, I went to RBC branch downtown kingston and the clerk didn't even question or said anything about my cheque and I quickly had transact a E transfer, paid my bills with no problem. So, hopefully their management would do something about this because I waited in 15-20 minutes outside lining up in an rainy afternoon and get no result on my transaction. Thank You Very Much. Trying to call the bank to book an appointment with a financial advisor Gillian Reynard and the automated caller does not give me extensions only wants to know if I want to activate my card. Branch website has no email addresses set up for personnel so cannot reach Gillian to set an appointment. In 2019 we should have ease of service not total frustration. RBC needs to look at why they would post a phone number for a branch and have an automated service that does not get the client to where they need to go.

Worst experience ever at any Canadian bank . 10-12 people waiting in the line for half an hour and Staff are just roaming here and there . Needs more staff if you can’t address all clients at at time . I hope branch manager will see this review .

Busy time of day 12:00 line up out the door, only 2 tellers open, one teller playing on their smart watch, not taking any customers. They reduced their hours, closing earlier, and closed on weekends now to protect their staff" as the staff are saying. Making banking less friendly here."
