A great spot for friends to gather and enjoy the view and water! This is a public boat launch but no boat required as it's simply a nice spot to hang out with friends on a hot sunny day.

Nice little boat launch in the south end of Halifax. I have used it before, and it is good but a bit steep. However, the public space is a gem in the area and is great to visit just to get a few minutes of peace in the heart of the city. The public space is very tiny and has no amenities, washrooms or garbage cans. It is strictly a public access area and boat launch. From here, you can see the beautiful North West Arm and directly across the water is Sir Sandford Fleming Park, with The Dingle Tower. Beautiful views and there is a makeshift bench that the public obviously made that you can use to sit on and take in the views.

Area needs maintenance and a parking space once you have launched may be difficult. But it is a boat launch and should be used while it still exists.
