For only $50 less a month from the average right now, enjoy not being able to sleep while your heater makes tons of noise for over a month before being fixed, the doors jamming, not locking, and end up having the homeless end up in your crawlspace/stairwells. Water damage on your ceiling? Windows cracked? Mold? Not a problem! They'll just leave that for months at a time! Imagine bringing this up to a landlord whom likely makes 10k a month off this building and being completely disregarded and ignored, find another place, please save yourself the hassle.

Have lived here over a year and it's been a largely positive experience. I know there are other units in the building that have had more severe issues, but in our unit there have only been two issues; the A/C broke last August and was replaced after about a month, and the drain for our bathroom sink became clogged and was fixed about 3 days after we reported it to the landlord.Outside of our unit, there have been multiple issues with the door locks/latches which is probably the most annoying part about living here. This immediate area has been historically not very nice but is beginning to be gentrified, so you can still expect to see an occasional homeless person sorting through the garbage etc. Personally it hasn't affected me.On the plus side it's a great location for access to the surroundings. Grocery store/mall/gym across the street, bus stop right outside the door (though I've never used public transit here), and walking distance to the lake.
