Foodland - Durham

Foodland is handy for necessary last minute items. More expensive than No Frills in Mt. Forest. Only grocery store in Durham, they have home delivery on Thursday and Friday when called in earlier in the week. Cold cuts are cut to request and amount you desire. They re quite good.

Just a quick stop for me, but it had almost everything I wanted. The produce section was well laid out and clearly well managed, with ample variety and quantity, kept nicely damp and cool for freshness. A smaller place, but a good selection and variety of staples, with a very reasonable amount of seasonal or specialty items for treats or to try something new.

Prices are crazy high compared to everywhere else. Staff seem to always be angry, I actually had a staff member push themselves in front of me while I was looking at items to help" her friend. Instead of saying excuse me or just waiting u til i was done. Then the employee proceeded to stand there for over a minute while I stood there with my cane being a disabled person with a severe back injury. Completely unacceptable! The lady even turned and looked at me with zero care! Won't be back to this grocery store I will travel to hanover instead now. GET BETTER STAFF!!"

Dirty little store that's extremely overpriced, the employees are rude and unknowledgeable and fight you when you catch them double scanning products and not caring to take it back off the bill! They want you to buy bags , but yet they don't keep any boxes for a free alternative. Not everyone has 500 bucks to spend on 4 half full bags and then buy the bags to!! I understand it's a foodland but it has to be the most expensive one I've been in! Also, when I have something specific on my list, you can almost guarantee you won't find it. It's sad, really. Anytime there's a decent sale on even if you go the first day the flyer starts the shelf where it should be is always empty I swear it's a ploy to bring you in and then you walk around to try and save a few measly bucks and almost everything in the flyer is no where to be found!

STOP SUPPORTING THIS STORE > I was overcharged for an Item not in my cart , When I brought it up with the cashier. She refused to talk to me and made me go back in line to see her . She overcharged me $8 for yellow cauliflower . She refused to refund me and demanded to look in my cart , I only purchased 5 items , She refunded me after aggravating me and antagonizing me. She was trying to scam me and then pull the cash out when I left . Not worth the aggravation and bigot microaggressions .

The people that work here are the best. They are always friendly and helpful

Like all foodland stores, over priced on literally everything! Almost 10 bucks for the smallest jar of cheesewhiz on the planet! I feel so bad for the seniors that can't travel out side of this town. And are forced to pay ridiculous prices that cost double of Wal-Mart or other places charge! It's robbery!!
