BMO Bank of Montreal

I have been with this Bank for 25 years, and unfortunately the past 2 years have not given us much attention - big changes in staff, a lot of training of new staff took priority over the lineups of customers, did not reply to my questions I sent by phone. I guess it is time to move to TD, who seem to understand what I am asking.

Never in my life have I ever met someone as incompetent and unprofessional as this branch’s manager-Heather Praskey. Her lack of effort and general banking knowledge clearly indicate that she shows face simply for a paycheque (when she does show up). The entire staff is a direct representation of their manager. Slow paced, neglectful and un-knowledgeable. Horrendous service. Highly do no recommend this specific branch for anything.

If I could give a zero to this branch, I'd definitely do that. We started a process of bringing our mortgage before renewal date from another bank to BMO with a hope of having a better deal. 4 months later, in spite of numerous conversations, phone calls, and emails, the job was not done until the very last minute. This forced us to stay with the original bank which costed us thousands of dollars more because we had to go with today's rate! The branch manager, Heather Praskey, is really unprofessional, didn't care whatsoever about our application, and never responded to our concerns specially that last few days that were so time-sensitive. BMO's slogan to help veterans and their families is a completely empty promise. We'll certainly follow up on our case with ombudsman department. I'll also make sure not to refer any of my clients here.

Had good experiences over the years, but nowadays they don't even return phone calls.Update: After leaving this review -- and a 3rd voicemail that was a bit less cordial than my first two -- someone did call me back and resolve my issue to my satisfaction.As a general comment to the BMO Digital Care Team: It's 2020, we do business and banking in real time, 24/7. BMO needs to get with the times or be left behind, simple as that. Customers simply cannot be left waiting for days at a time, let alone hours. Do better.

I’d give a zero if I could. I transferred from another bank over a year ago and have got nothing but a run around. We were told the bank forwarded the transfer 4 times however, when I called my old bank they never received the request(s). No one answers the phone, they don’t return calls or emails. My money has been stuck in an eternal abyss and I can’t seem to get answers from anyone!Nothing to do now but report to the OBSI.I do not recommend to anyone.All that said aside and I do want to say the tellers working the front counter are outstanding but unfortunately they are not in a position to assist.Update: 31 Mar 2023 - I Emailed the address given below and got everything transferred over with in a week! My review still reflects the branch however I am a happy BMO customer and will continue to bank with them.

The bank is great other than not being able to enter the atm after eight pm. The card reader for opening the door does not work and there are no other BMO ATMs outside of any of there locations. Why? Why do I have to pay service fees for using other bank branches, just because a person can not enter the atm.

Very unhappy with the service I am receiving from this branch location. It's currently my closing date, I have provided everything requested well in advance, my lawyers office has provided the request for funds 4 business days prior to closing and its currently nearly 3PM and the lawyers office has yet to receive the funds. I have called the branch 8 times before getting in contact with someone. completely unreliable in a stressful time.

If you need to go into the bank and speak to someone who is going to actually help you, or if you need to do any banking on your lunch hour (the whole branch is closed from 12-1 for lunch) I would suggest literally any other branch but this one.

I have been to this bank twice and Sarah has helped me so much. Firstly she helped me with someone who hacked my account and then with setting up a new savings account. She was and is so helpful and efficient! I will definitely come back to this bank

Made an appointment for opening a small business account, no one from the branch contacted me during my appointment time. Furthermore, no calls were picked up or returned in regards to why they were not contacting me or why they missed my appointment. Made in appointment at another branch online in hopes that they will be more responsive. Disappointed in their service.
