Lisa is the defintion of a what a great Bank Teller should be like. She is so professional, resourceful and accommodating. Her positive attitude is a bonus.

The manager at this branch is awful and discriminates against certain ethnic group. The staff at the front counter was helpful enough but the manager was plain awful. I encourage the head office to review the performance and attitude of this male manager, simply not up to standard.

This place is amazing. Me and my wife had gone to open a new account for her and they made the experience very smooth. They explained everything very well, helped us each step in the process and were very receptive. Kudos to advisor Ben, Sean and Lisa. Thank you!

Absolutely incompetent staff including their management. My husband and I came to deposit a check from a Lawer trusted account as we just sold our property. Not only they wasted half an hour of our time just to tell we have to visit our home branch to deposit a check to avoid a hold but the attitude of their management beyond unacceptable.No wonder this branch has 2 star review, horrible customer service. Avoid this branch at all cost if you value your time and expect to be treated professionally and respectfully.

If there is 0, I will give this place.I booked an appointment, 2 days later, and I went to the location, a lady at the front desk told me the advisor didn't come. Then I made another appointment for the next appointment, another advisor for the next day. When I arrived, I was told the appiontment had been booked with another customer. A gentleman in the office said she didn't know who made that appointment by mistake. I gave it 3rd chance and booked 3rd appointment for the same visit. On the day, got an email at the last minute saying it had been canceled by the same advisor.Well, extreme lack of Customer service and respect for others' time. As a financial service company. The service is really non-sense. I doubt as this attitude can help customers manage their wealth. Don't waste your time and money on the company doesn't value and care about their customers.

Yesterday April 4, 2023 me and my wife tried to access our safe deposit box in the Center street branch. At the counter my wife tried used her bank card but she forgot her pin. Finally I used my card and was able to access out account. The teller at the time was giving me and my wife a very bad looking face took us to the safe deposit box area and started to complain my wife. She said 'you already forgot your pin # last time and I had it reset for you. I think you should write it down in a piece of paper' I said what?? No bank (I due with other banks too) advisors ever suggest us to write down the pin # on a piepe of paper. I got a little upset hearing that so I talked a little loud and said can't we reset our pin again even we did it once last time. This lady now giving us a really bad looking face that really upset me. So I yelled at her I don't want to talk to you. She yelled me back and said 'you talk to my manager'. I don't know what kind of service is this. can't a customer reset or forget their pin more than once or twice. We are seniors and tends to forget things especially with that many pin numbers to remember. Can't she be kind enoguh to greet us to reset our pin # instead of telling us to write it down in a piece of paper and gave us a bad face. I dealed with this branch for more than 35 years and never before I had a hard time with advisors or tellers only recently. I think this branch should retrain their front line staff to treat their customers more nicely. BTW the manage came and he was nice to settle this matter. All his staff shoud be as nice as him treating customers.

The worst bank ever!It has a big security issue. Somebody came to Scotia and used my stolen ID and credit card to withdraw a $1000 Cash advance and they didn't ask the stealer to remove the mask!! Literally, the teller gave away the $1,000. And now after one month they still haven't reversed the transaction. Shame on you!!!!!!DO NOT GO WITH Scotia!

The branch Manager at 1303 Centre Street in Calgary Rocks. He is super amazing and dresses in the greatest threads. I love this manager. He is absolutely amazing.Thank you jose for treating me with so much respect.My Account Manager Aman Singh is absolutely fantastic. Horrible customer service. I came to this branch yesterday to fix an error on a bank draft, they were not willing to help me whatsoever. The manager even came out giving me a story about how I have to go back to the same branch I made the draft in order to edit it.. I needed the draft desperately that same day and the banks were about to close and this location was closest to me, and they were not helpful at all. I came to the initial branch I made the draft the next day, and I explained to the teller what had happened and how the centre street location couldn’t do it for me, and she told me that they could have in fact done it for me. Very dissatisfied with this location.

Worst banking experience ever. Been using Scotiabank for my company and personal accounts for over 10 years and have never had an issue before visiting this branch. I came in with a certified cheque and all the proper paperwork to go with it. They took my certified cheque telling me it will clear immediately and is in my account... Then I ask to withdrawal money from my account and was told that they've put a hold on the certified cheque for 5 business days that 2 seconds ago was in my account. I talked to the manager and was told certified of not their going to put a hold on it. Questioning the reason for certifying a cheque, she dismissed me saying she will not do anything for me and told me to leave. So I demand the cheque back, and they wrote canceled on the cheque. I took it to a different branch and without question they accepted my cheque and released funds immediately.Scotiabank has always been good to me and it is this branch alone that I had an issue with.I made a complaint and hopefully they will better educate their managers and not tell someone to leave instead of answering their questions.
