A fun place to visit, but rain showers dampened our spirits and shortened our visit. Good mix of things to see outdoors as well as more detailed exhibits indoors. We didn't stick around for the tour of the sail boat on the waterfront.

FREE! An enjoyable location. Easy enough to spend 4+ hours there. Very pretty grounds located on the shore of Lake Champlain. Tour at your own pave. A number of buildings closed for renovation. I assume there are times the forge and boat building is being done live. Worth the trip. I really liked the giant Ice Yacht.

Free museum with a lot of things to see if you like boats, canoes, and maritime history. A nice section on the importance of Lake Champlain to the Revolutionary War. Follow your GPS to the shores of Lake Champlain.

A nice museum. Lots of local small craft, a building full of antique outboard motors and a Reproduction of Benedct Arnold's Revolutionary War gunboat Philadelphia". Definitely worth a visit if you're into maritime history!"

Never thought there could be so much history in the maritime industry. A couple buildings were closed, but still worthwhile to walk the grounds!

This place was incredible. Rich history. We especially enjoyed being on the cargo boat on lake Champlain and hearing the incredibly rich American history from the Revolutionary War

This place was a gem of a find. It has the history, a reproduction of the Philadelphia, and all the hands on stuff for my kiddos. The only thing missing was the maritime archaelogy, which was what my oldest was looking for -- we are definitely coming back after covid!

While this is not a exhaustive look at the maritime history of mankind, it is a reasonable history of the region beginning with dugout canoes of the first tribes through the revolution and beyond. They even have a home built" submarine on display that was used to survey part of lake Champlain."

Small, but mighty museum! I especially enjoyed the Revolutionary War exhibit building.
