Avis Car Rental

Super disappointed with Avis vancouver airport, preferred service waited an hour in queue and another hour to get the rental, plus a down grade on top of this. And could see more than 20 cars in the lot. Someone who reserved a car a minute ago drove out with a car same wait like me who booked it a day or two earlier.

E-Vehicles - Attention:If this is your option of vehicle, currently, electric vehicles can only be returned to the airport, despite the paid for and confirmed reservation we had to drop it off at another location. Staff was friendly and professional, but the reservation system does not meet that requirement. The car was also very nice and clean. If you need to return your e-vehicle in another location, the solution that staff is able to offer is for you to get a gas operated car.

My three-star rating is because we had a two hour wait at the airport to get our car even though there were only about 10 people ahead of us. For some reason everything was very backed up. There were many frustrated people waiting for their vehicles. But the staff were nice and it was obvious they were trying.The car was clean and ran well. The drop off went well. We dropped off before AVIS was open and there was still someone there to meet us and look over our car.Also, I did have to call AVIS prior to our trip and it was very easy to get to speak with a live person which I appreciated.We would consider renting here again just to give them another chance, but only if the price was right compared to the other rental companies at the airport.

Sanctions disrespectful customers, honors friendliness.Yes, there was a longer queue and even after finishing the contract, some had to wait on the curbside until their cars where ready, including me.There was a group of French tourists. Apparently they where not happy with the wait. Every minute they bothered any counter clerk with Do you speak French? Do you speak French?... Manager? Manager?" Some minute later one of the French guys smashed his hand on the counter and brushed a pile of papers from the counter on the desks and floor.Soon after the manager arrived

The check in desk at Vancouver airport was complete chaos. The cars were not ready for customers and we waited over an hour after we had queued and completed our paperwork before we received our car. The staff were courteous but clearly out of their depth with the amount of bookings. The car was excellent. I expected better from Avis.

We received our rental from Vancouver airport! It was nice and smooth! The agent was very nice and helpful! We got an upgrade at the spot due to the car that I reserved originally! The agent gave us a very nice and reliable vehicle! Through out our trip it made a huge difference for us! So thank you for providing nice service! Hope to come back soon!

Took a cruise ending in Vancouver and needed to rent a vehicle to drive into the US. Avis was one of the few companies with availabilities and ability to do so. Their customer service was outstanding- friendly, helpful and efficient. There were no hidden fees, pick up and drop off were both easy and fast. Will rent from Avis again!

Car full of damage and now I have to get back in line for the third time. They take off the damage sheet before you get your copy and actually inspect the vehicle.

My overall experience at YVR Avis was incredible. As an Avis preferred member, I was able to complete the paperwork and pickup the keys in less than 10 minutes. The customer service staff was professional and kind, upgraded our booking of a full-size car to an entry-level SUV for no extra cost. The representative also showed us some features of the car when we called in for assistance. Would highly recommend Avis to my friends and family!

Another great service Avis counter in the beautiful Vancouver. Very straightforward pick up and drop off service. The staff was always smiling and helpful with the quick service! The best thing of this location is that the garage is Always Bright! Unlike some of other locations the garage that was very dark and you could not check the vehicle properly! Here has a lot of lights which makes you much easier to look around the car before leaving the garage. This is most important part to me! Vehicle is clean and shining! Highly recommended.
