Coast Capital - Shelbourne Branch

Needed to talk to someone at the branch. Waited on hold for 30+ minutes. Finally gave up. To the genius who scripted the phone message (a) if I wanted to do online banking I would have phoned (b) telling me every 10 seconds to stay on the line for 30 minutes is unnecessary and maybe insulting. Customer service is non-existent.

Usually insufficient tellers for the number of patrons in line, antiquated bank machines, tellers don't complete requests, can't be bothered to help expedite a clients problem unless it's easy for them.Their bank cards have problems at most interact machines because coast capitol chooses an inferior brand of card.- Been back since earlier review and no more tellers than before.They still haven't done jack about a bank machine that acts up(originally reported it to them a year ago - got run around from manager then).(they say they are doing something now, don't believe it).Set up automatic with drawl for a bill payment 4 months ago and it hasn't worked once.Then I get a letter from Telus mobility saying I haven't paid. That's what the automatic with drawl was for.They put my telus cable account on the with drawl.Another nice screw up.Truly bad direction you are heading in Coast Capitol.Before you go starting anymore student programs and such how about getting you house in order and trying to get about an average 3.6 rating.

Coast Capital is a credit union, so it offers far better day-to-day prices and customer service than a bank. This one has particularly helpful staff!

I've used Coast Capital since I was a child, nearly 20 years. I used Coast for my day-to-day banking that entire time. Thousands of dollars go through my account every month. My father and grandfather both used this location.But Coast Capital flat out denied me a line of credit because I run my own business.2 decades of banking thrown away.Their team was completely unhelpful.I own a home, a car, and other investments. I have a good income. And I've banked with this company for my entire adult life - and despite that they refused to work with me.Joke of credit union.

We have multiple business and personal accounts at Coast Capital, and they remain our preferred choice for Victoria banking. You simply can't get any better than free personal checking accounts, and our business accounts work out to $20 a month or so.Two ATMs at this location and multiple tellers make it easy to get in and out when you're in a hurry. There is a longer line up at times, however that's a good sign with so many people banking here. Keep up the great work!

typical bank looking to make money. i find my chip on my debit doesn’t work well. the bank itself was clean and you can deposit money i think 24/7 at the 2 atms.

Staff is great. Friendly service.For some reason Coast decided to get rid of business tellers.. why? I only need 5's for my business and im stuck in an hour long line writting this review.... Maybe give your ATM's the option. What was wrong with business tellers to begin with? does the person that stands in line once a month not like seeing us go ahead? cause im starting to hate standing in this line 10+ times a month and its making me debate switching financial institutions.

The staff are helpful but seem understaffed at times. The ATM is also closed between 12-6am which can be annoying. The ATM in the Vancity bank inside the rear of the building is luckily open during this time and runs on the same network. It would be nice if Coast Capital could provide the same.

Finally left Coast Capital after banking with them for nearly 10 years and being sick of the issues and not being valued. They were always so quick to point fingers despite having a lot of problems. Their staff in person were usually friendly , but the banking services were poor, so I gave two stars instead of one.

My father and I came in earlier this week to get car insurance. Right as we stepped in, the atmosphere and look of the place was very welcoming. We were immediately and kindly greeted by Daniel. It was my first purchase of a car and although I was new to the whole process, Daniel was extremely informative and seemed to have a genuine excitement to help me; making my experience that much better. I will definitely be sticking with CoastCapital for all my insurance needs if this is the quality of service they have. I highly recommend asking for Dan 5/5
